He needed just 12 pitches to strike out a pair of batters in a flawless ninth inning before JJ Bleday delivered a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame to give him his first win of the year. The hard-thrwoing 25-year-old former top prospect has blossomed into arguably the best reliever in baseball this season with 12 saves to go along with a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54/11 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (22 appearances).       Hogan Harris tossed six scoreless innings on Friday in a no-decision against the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Harris has been quietly effective for the Athletics over the last few weeks, allowing just one earned run over 11 2/3 innings in a pair of starts since May 30. He struck out three and allowed just five baserunners (three hits and a pair of walks) over six shutout frames in this one, but was forced to settle for a no-decision after Oakland’s bullpen gave up the lead.       Advice: Bassit was forced to settle for a no-decision against his former organization in an impressive outing at pitcher-friendly Oakland Coliseum. He gave up only four hits and a pair of walks with a run-scoring ground out from JJ Bleday in the sixth-inning representing the lone tally against him in this one. He generated 15 swinging strikes and finished with a 29 percent CSW.       Jurickson Profar slugged a solo homer and also added a three-run double on Friday, lifting the Padres to a 10-3 blowout victory over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Profar has been an unexpected revelation this season in his return to San Diego, and even looks like he has a shot at making his first All-Star Game appearance. The 31-year-old journeyman clubbed a solo shot -- his ninth round-tripper of the season -- off Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before tacking on a bases-clearing three-run double in the eighth inning to ostensibly blow the game wide open. He won’t sustain this near-elite level of performance for the entire season, but fantasy managers should continue to ride the wave until it comes craching into shore.       Ketel Marte walloped a two-run homer on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ one-sided loss at the hands of the Padres.

      Advice: Marte broke up a potential shutout with a seventh-inning blast off Padres reliever Wandy Peralta for his 13th big fly of the season. The 30-year-old second baseman has been a model of consistency in an otherwise turbulent campaign for the defending National League champions this season, batting .282 with 41 runs scored, 13 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 63 games. Unfortunately, the stolen bases probably aren’t ever coming back to his early-career level, but he remains a reliable four-category fantasy contributor at the keystone in the prime of his career.       Advice: Pfaadt, who allowed nine hits (including three home runs) and teammate Humberto Castellanos were each tagged for five runs as they soaked up nearly a complete game to spare Arizona’s overworked bullpen, which frankly needed a break after some heavy usage earlier this week. He struck out five and only handed out one free pass.
