    Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a hit-by-pitch, one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

    Advice: Chapman has gone 9-for-32 (.281) over his last eight games as he finally seems to be finding a rhythm at the plate. He got the Giants on the board with an RBI double in the first inning and continued to be involved in the team's subsequent rallies. The third baseman is slashing .218/.273/.362 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 20 RBI, 25 runs scored and four steals through 187 plate appearances this season. While his rate stats are well below his usual standard, the recent improvements are a reason for optimism, especially as he continues to hit in the heart of the order for a lineup devastated by injuries.   • Brett Harris fans three times in defeat
    Brett Harris struck out all three times he was up against the Royals on Friday.

    Advice: Harris hit two homers in his second big-league game on May 4, but he definitely hasn’t done much since: he’s currently at .128//314/.359 in 51 plate appearances. With Ryan Noda heating up in Triple-A and J.D. Davis, Abraham Toro and Tyler Nevin all capable of playing third, Harris might wind up getting sent down sometime soon.     Matt Chapman doubled twice and scored three runs while driving in one in a win over the Rockies on Friday.

    Advice: Chapman has gone through it for most of the 2024 season, but things have looked better — for the most part — the past week. The infielder is only hitting .218 over the first six weeks of the campaign, but this has been a streaky hitter for the majority of the campaign, and it’s certainly possible he’s entering a hot run right now.     Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

    Advice: Gorman's bat is coming around -- he's 6-for-19 (.316) with two homers and four RBI over his last six games. The second baseman took Boston starter Brayan Bello deep in the second inning of this contest. Gorman is up to a .193/.288/.370 slash line with six homers, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored, no stolen bases and six doubles through 153 plate appearances, and he's not helping his cause to remain in an everyday role with a 34.6 percent strikeout rate.   • Lifts three-run homer
    Garcia went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

    Advice: Garcia went deep as part of a five-run sixth inning that put the Royals in full control. The third baseman has hit safely in five straight games, adding two steals and four RBI in that span despite going a meager 5-for-22 (.227). Garcia's been held hitless in just three of 14 games in May, so he's still putting together decent at-bats despite not having an explosive offense.   • Colt Keith picks up four hits in victory over ARI
    Colt Keith went 4-for-5 while scoring three runs and driving in two Friday against the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: It’s the first four-hit game of Keith’s career, and also the first time the rookie has scored multiple runs in a contest.     Keith went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: While all four hits were singles, it was still a big game for the infielder, who entered Friday hitting .171 on the year. That's up to .197 after this contest, and he's batting .391 (9-for-23) over his last seven games. Keith has a .477 OPS, no home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, three stolen bases and three doubles through 133 plate appearances.     Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a double, a steal, a run scored and a walk in Friday's win over Texas.

    Advice: Rengifo hit second in his first game since May 6 after a brief stint on the injured list. He ripped a double in the first inning before drawing a walk, stealing second base and scoring a run in the third. The utility bat was on a 19-for-46 (.413) tear over his last 15 games before landing on the IL. Rengifo is slashing .326/.379/.463 with nine extra-base hits and 10 steals through 29 games.   • Joey Ortiz picks up three hits, three-run homer
    Joey Ortiz hit a three-run homer while going 3-for-4 in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

    Advice: Ortiz also doubled, with the only damper on the evening being a caught stealing. The former Baltimore top prospect has been a big part of Milwaukee’s success, as this is the fifth homer for the 25-year-old and he’s slashing .296/.397/.561 for good measure. It was understandable for those who were skeptical of Ortiz as a fantasy option coming into the year, but this is no longer all that small of sample. It’s time to take him seriously.
