      The Reds scratched Fraley from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates due to a right lower leg contusion.

      Advice: Per Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer, the injury likely stems from Fraley following a ball off the leg a few days ago.       Cole (0-1) took the loss Tuesday as the Yankees fell 9-7 to the Mets, surrendering six runs on seven hits -- including four home runs -- and four walks over four innings. He failed to strike out a batter.

      Advice: Making his second start of the season after recovering from an elbow issue, Cole simply couldn't locate his pitches as he served up four or more long balls for only the second time in his career -- the other such start came against the Twins in June 2022. The veteran right-hander did throw 72 pitches (44 strikes) Tuesday, up from 62 in his season debut as the Yankees gradually increase his workload.       Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ramirez doubled and scored in the first inning and hit a three-run home run in the fourth. It was the third baseman's second straight game with a homer and fifth multi-hit effort since June 18.     • Cole: velocity dip versus Mets intentional
      Gerrit Cole said after Tuesday’s start that he’s healthy and that he intentionally dialed back his velocity tonight after a long first inning.

      Advice: Cole topped out at 98.9 mph in the first tonight, but he was often throwing 92-93 mph in the second. He did pick it up some in the end, throwing his final fastball 95.3 mph, but it was an awfully discouraging performance. It’s good to know he doesn’t think he’s hurt, though.     • Cole allows four home runs in loss
      Gerrit Cole allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: There’s a fair amount to be concerned about here. The Yankees ace walked four and struck out nobody on the day. His fastball sat 95.4 mph on the day which was down 1.3 mph from his first start. He hit 98 mph in the first inning but by the third inning, he threw only four fastballs and just one was over 94 mph. Home runs hit by Mark Vientos and Harrison Bader were on fastballs that were 91.5 and 93.2 mph. Given that Cole’s elbow injury to start the year involved some nerve issues, there’s a concern that there remains a lingering impact on Cole’s health or performance. It could also just be one bad start, but this is the second outing of his career that he did not strike out any batters and the other was on May 20, 2016, so it’s certainly a performance we want to take note of.       José Ramírez went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer on Tuesday, lifting the Guardians to a 10-8 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Ramírez clobbered a three-run shot in the fourth inning to give Cleveland a commanding four-run advantage at the time. The 31-year-old fantasy star has gone deep three times over his last four games and is now up to 21 round-trippers this season already.       Manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Imanaga's next start will be moved back from Wednesday to Thursday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

      Advice: The Cubs will give Imanaga an extra day to rest after he was lit up for 10 earned runs in just three innings during his last start. Despite his awful performance Friday, the 30-year-old southpaw has still been strong overall with a 2.96 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside an 81:12 K:BB through 79 innings over 14 starts.       Advice: It qualifies as a step in the right direction that Romano was able to resume throwing, albeit light catch, over the weekend, after being shut down last week due to renewed right elbow soreness. The 31-year-old veteran stopper is going to have to build up his throwing program basically from scratch again and is probably going to be out through the upcoming All-Star break.       De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.

      Advice: De La Cruz scored a run after singling in the fourth inning before knocking an RBI double and scoring again in the fifth. He capped off his day with a two-run shot in the sixth.
