    • Jackson Merrill with another home run
Jackson Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Merrill’s home run was impressive: off lefty Sean Manaea to straight away center through the rain at Citi Field. It was another notable moment in what’s been a great rookie season for the 20-year-old. He has a .280/.314/.401 slash line with six home runs and nine stolen bases while learning center field on the fly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:12 pm
    • Makes history with walk-off homer
Merrill went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the A's.

Advice: The rookie center fielder took Hogan Harris deep in the fifth inning, setting the stage for Merrill to play hero by ripping a slider from Mason Miller down the right-field line in the bottom of the ninth for his first career walk-off homer. In the process, Merrill become the youngest player in Padres history with a walk-off blast, and the youngest player in MLB history with a two-homer game that included a walk-off shot. The 21-year-old snapped a 26-game homer drought with the performance. He's been heating up in June, however, batting .355 (11-for-31) over the last eight contests with four doubles, two steals, four RBI and five runs. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:35 am
    • Hits go-ahead homer in win
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Advice: With the Cubs trailing 2-1 with two outs in the seventh inning, Bellinger changed the game with a three-run home run off Tampa Bay reliever Garrett Cleavinger then added a single in the ninth. While the homer was his first in June, Bellinger now has four straight multi-hit efforts for a total of five in 10 contests this month. On the season, Bellinger is slashing .267/.324/.456 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 238 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:41 pm

    • Cody Bellinger powers Cubs past Rays
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer in the seventh to lead the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The homer came off Garrett Cleavinger, a lefty who hadn’t previously allowed one in 27 innings this season. It was Bellinger’s ninth in 54 games. He’s not doing anything quite as well as he did last year, but that was probably to be expected. He’s still been a fine regular for the Cubs, and he might offer more to fantasy leaguers if he gets back to stealing more bases; he has three right now after finishing with 20 last year. • Jackson Merrill slugs walk-off homer to sink A’s
Jackson Merrill blasted two solo homers, including a game-winning blast in the ninth inning, powering the Padres to a 5-4 walk-off victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Merrill took Athletics fire-balling closer Mason Miller deep into the right-field corner for his fifth round-tripper of the season to send the Friars faithful home in walk-off fashion. The 21-year-old rookie center fielder also took Oakland starter Hogan Harris deep in the fifth inning as part of his first career multi-homer performance. He’s caught fire over the last few weeks, batting .294 (30-for-105) with three homers and five steals over his past 30 games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:27 pm
    • Resting against lefty
Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Conforto's streak of five consecutive starts will come to an end Wednesday while the lefty-hitting outfielder heads to the bench in a day game after a night game with a left-hander (Framber Valdez) on the hill for Houston. Austin Slater will enter the lineup in Conforto's place in left field and will bat leadoff. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:07 am
    • Tallies three hits Monday
Merrill went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in Monday's 6-1 victory over the Athletics.

Advice: The bottom third of San Diego's order produced half of the team's 10 hits, with Merrill's three knocks leading the way. The exciting young outfielder extended his current hitting streak to six games, and he's batting .391 (9-for-23) over that stretch. Merrill is holding his own in his rookie campaign, slashing .281/.316/.367 with three homers, 24 RBI, 26 runs and nine stolen bases through 236 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:56 pm
    • Jake Fraley out Sunday against Cubs
Jake Fraley is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Cubs.

Advice: Raley will begin Sunday’s contest on the bench against southpaw Shota Imanaga. The 29-year-old outfielder gets rest with Blake Dunn getting the start in left field and Spencer Steer moving to designated hitter. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:31 am

    • Two hits, stolen base in loss
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bellinger reached on a two-out single in the first inning, and he then stole second and came around to score on a Dansby Swanson double. It was just Bellinger's third stolen base of the season after he swiped a career-best 20 bags last season. The 28-year-old is heating up at the dish with seven multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, and he's accounted for all three of his steals over that stretch. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:57 pm
