    • Marcell Ozuna to take part in Home Run Derby
Marcell Ozuna will participate in the Home Run Derby, MLB announced.

Advice: We’re not sure what exact home run/arrest ratio is necessary to get back into MLB’s good graces, but Ozuna seems to have exceeded it. On performance alone, he’s obviously a deserving choice. He’s at 23 homers right now after finishing with 40 last year. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Brandon Nimmo hits 14th homer in loss
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 and hit his 14th homer to drive in both Mets runs Monday in a loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Francisco Lindor is having the best season of anyone snubbed from the All-Star roster, but that was at least somewhat understandable, given the strength at shortstop in the NL. Nimmo actually seems like the worst snub of all, given how good he’s been and how weak the NL outfield is as a whole. Plus, he’s been a borderline All-Star for several years now and has still never gotten to go to the game. Perhaps that will change as players start to drop out. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
    • Goes yard in loss
Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 8-2 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: he New York outfielder accounted for the only Mets runs of the game, hitting a 428-foot, two-run homer off Mitch Keller in the sixth inning. The nine-year veteran has tapped into his power recently, as he entered slugging .671 with 12 extra base hits -- six homers and doubles apiece -- in 90 plate appearances over his previous 20 games. After missing a game July 1 due to a forehead laceration, Nimmo has batted .320 (8-for-25) with three extra-base hits, five RBI and three runs scored in seven games this month. • Report: Cubs could trade Hoerner, Belly, and more
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Chicago Cubs “are preparing for a potential sale, with [Cody] Bellinger, Jameson Taillon and Nico Hoerner expected to draw interest.”

Advice: Nightengale also notes that the Cubs have not yet decided if they will sell at the deadline or not, but they are listening to offers for the three players listed above. Taillon is in the midst of a solid season despite not bringing a lot of strikeout value for fantasy and could see a boost with a better team context, while Nico Hoerner could see a boost to his fantasy stock as well if he is traded to a team that will let him steal more regularly. • Fans 10 in no-decision
Berrios didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Berrios had issues keeping the ball in the park Sunday, with a Victor Robles solo homer and a three-run home run by Mitch Garver accounting for the Mariners four runs on the day. Berrios' struggles with the long ball aren't particularly new, as the 30-year-old has surrendered a round tripper in seven consecutive starts and has yielded multiple homers five times this season. However, there was a silver lining for Sunday's start, with Berrios setting a season high in strikeouts. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:50 am
    • Clubs three-run homer
Kjerstad went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 6-3 win over Oakland.

Advice: Kjerstad took Mitch Spence yard in the first inning, plating Ryan O'Hearn and Jordan Westburg with the three-run slam. In 51 plate appearances with Baltimore, Kjerstad has posted a .938 OPS with three homers and 12 RBI while carving out a significant role in a loaded Orioles outfield. • Jose Berrios punches out 10 in no-decision
Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.

Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season. He’ll toe the slab against the Diamondbacks his next time out in Arizona on Saturday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Heston Kjerstad hits three-run homer in win
Heston Kjerstad hit a three-run homer in the victory over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Kjerstad was making just his second start in five games, which is the same number as Colton Cowser and one less than Austin Hays, even though four of those games were against righties. It’s pretty much impossible to trust either Kjerstad or Cowser in weekly leagues at this point, though either would likely be a useful mixed-league outfielder if the Orioles sent down the other. • Christian Yelich homers, plates three to lead Crew
Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with a homer, double, three runs scored and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Brewers to a 9-2 rout of the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Advice: Yelich opened the scoring in Sunday’s contest with a 418-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run blast off of rookie left-hander Justin Wrobleski in the fourth inning. He then singled and scored on a two-run knock by Blake Perkins in the eighth inning. Yelich also tacked on an RBI double in the ninth and scored on a double by Garrett Mitchell. He’s having an outstanding season in the middle of the Brewers’ lineup, slashing .329/.407/.533 with 11 homers, 41 RBI and 19 stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:12 pm
