    • Earns seventh straight win
Rodon (9-2) earned the win against the Royals on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Rodon cruised through the majority of the game, with a two-out RBI single by Freddy Fermin in the seventh inning being his only blemish. While Rodon only struck out three, he generated 14 swinging strikes and didn't allow any extra-base hits. Each of Rodon's seven consecutive wins have also been quality starts, and he has now completed at least six innings in 10 of his 14 outings. He owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB on the season and will look to continue his win streak against the Red Sox on Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:04 pm

    • Rodon picks up ninth win against Royals Monday
Carlos Rodon allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Yankees’ 4-2 victory over the Royals on Monday.

Advice: Rodon gave up five hits, walked none and struck out three. The win was his ninth of the season. Rodon isn’t the big time strikeout pitcher he used to be, but he’s reinvented himself after a poor first year for the Yankees. His ERA is down to 2.93 now. The 31-year-old left-hander is set to face the Red Sox on the road this weekend.

    • Jordan Romano (elbow) resumes throwing
Jordan Romano resumed throwing the last two days and could get back on a mound later this week.

Advice: Romano, out with elbow inflammation, is eligible to come the IL on Saturday, but there are no plans to activate him then. If everything goes well, he could be back before the end of the month. Rotoworld Today, 4:04 pm

    • Nabs sixth win
Garrett (6-2) picked up the win Sunday over the Phillies, getting charged with one run on one hit and one walk over 1.2 innings of relief. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander entered the game with two outs in the seventh inning with the Mets down 4-3, making him the pitcher of record when New York erupted for three runs in the top of the ninth. Garrett did put two runners aboard before being lifted in the bottom of the frame and watched one of them come around to score, however. He's been tagged for runs in six of his last eight appearances, stumbling to a ghastly 11.74 ERA, 2.22 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB through 7.2 innings over that stretch, but Garrett will likely remain part of the team's high-leverage crew even after Edwin Diaz (shoulder) rejoins the bullpen. • Set to resume throwing program
Romano (elbow) is expected to resume throwing Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: The right-hander will throw from flat ground and stretch out to 150 feet before beginning mound work. The Blue Jays are proceeding cautiously with their closer after he received an anti-inflammatory injection June 2, but Romano might still be able to avoid a rehab stint before being activated from the injured list. • Cruises to sixth win
Imanaga (6-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Reds, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Imanaga notched his seventh quality start of the season despite allowing a home run for the third consecutive start. The southpaw struggled in his previous two appearances, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) in just 8.2 innings. Despite the recent rough patch, the 30-year-old rookie has been excellent this season, pitching to a 1.96 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP with an elite 72:11 K:BB in 69 innings. He will look to build off Sunday's start his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend versus the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
    • Shota Imanaga wins for first time in a month
Shota Imanaga got back into the win column Sunday after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Reds.

Advice: He struck out seven. Imanaga, who was 5-0 through six turns this season, had gone five straight starts without a win, though only the last two of those outings were bad. His ERA stands at 1.96, and the Cubs are 10-2 when he pitches, compared to 22-32 the rest of the time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm
    • Needs third rehab start
Cole (elbow) said after Sunday's rehab outing with Double-A Somerset that he'll require at least one additional rehab start, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. The right-hander allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts and no walks over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Cole threw 44 of 57 pitches for strikes in his second rehab appearance Sunday as he continues building up his workload while coming back from nerve irritation in his elbow. The 33-year-old is trending toward a season debut in late June at the latest, though an exact return date won't come into focus until it's determined how many rehab outings are necessary. • Cole (elbow) allows one over 4 1/3 in rehab start
Gerrit Cole (elbow) went 4 1/3 innings while allowing one run in a rehab start Sunday for Double-A Somerset.

Advice: Cole struck out four and didn’t allow a walk. The right-hander threw 57 pitches in the outing and was reportedly between 94-96 mph with his fastball in the outing. Cole’s rehab appearances have gone as well as possible thus far, and there’s a good chance he’s back with the Yankees before the end of the month. What a gift that would be for New York and fantasy managers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:08 pm
