    • Shaky in return
Carrasco (2-5) came away with the loss Sunday against Washington, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over four innings.

Advice: Carrasco (neck) made his first start since May 15 after a minimum-length stint on the 15-day injured list due to neck spasms. Carrasco's struggles continued Sunday, losing his third straight outing and allowing five or more earned runs for the third time in his last six starts. The 37-year-old veteran has eaten up innings for Cleveland this season but has not delivered for fantasy managers, posting a 5.66 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 49.1 frames. He will look to turn things around in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend in Miami. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Allows two runs, works into seventh
Irvin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Rays. He struck out one.

Advice: Irvin entered the seventh with a two-run lead having allowed only a single run, but a leadoff homer in the inning by Jose Caballero cut the lead in half and he was pulled after facing one more batter, prior to the lineup turning back over for the Rays. It was Irvin's first quality start since May 3, though he's allowed no more than three earned runs and has posted five scoreless outings in each of his last nine games. Throughout that stretch, he's thrown 47 innings with a 1.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 30 strikeouts. His next start is tentatively slated for next weekend against these same Rays when the Orioles return the favor and make the trek to Tampa. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Dealing with groin injury
Snell exited Sunday's matchup with the Yankees early due to a tight left groin, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Advice: Snell was ultimately tagged with three runs over 4.2 innings in the outing Sunday, while his seven strikeouts matched a season high. It's unclear whether the left-hander will be forced to miss any additional action or not with the groin injury. His next projected start is tentatively set to come Saturday on the road against the Rangers. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago

    • Finally victorious
Irvin (3-5) picked up the win Sunday against Cleveland, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Irvin turned in his third-consecutive quality start and his seventh of the season Sunday, earning his first win since April 29. In five starts since his last win, the 27-year-old Irvin pitched five or more innings in all of them, compiling a 2.45 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a crisp 28:4 K:BB across 29.1 innings. Irvin will look to keep the success going in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Battles through quality start
Littell did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on 11 hits and one walk over six innings against the Orioles. He struck out two.

Advice: Littell's day started by allowing a leadoff homer to Gunnar Henderson, but he somehow managed to keep the Rays in the game despite walking the tight rope throughout most of his six-inning effort. In total, Littell scattered a season-high 11 hits and 12 total baserunners while accumulating a season-low two strikeouts. Despite facing at least five Orioles batters in four of his six innings completed, Littell managed to walk away with a quality start and his gritty performance kept the door open for the Rays to pull off the comeback win. Littell will look to make things a bit easier on himself during his next start, tentatively slated to take place against these same Orioles next weekend when the O's return the favor and make the trip to Tampa. • Scratched from lineup
Clemens was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Cardinals due to back spasms, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Clemens was set to start at second base and bat seventh against St. Louis, but he'll now take a seat with his ailing back. Whit Merrifield will replace him in the lineup. Rotowire.com Today, 2:51 pm

    • Kody Clemens (back) scratched from lineup Sunday
Kody Clemens was scratched from the Phillies’ starting lineup for Sunday night’s battle against the Cardinals due to back spasms.

Advice: Whit Merrifield will replace Clemens at second base against right-hander Lance Lynn and the Cardinals. Clemens should be considered day-to-day and is likely to return to the Phillies’ starting lineup early next week. Rotoworld Today, 2:49 pm

    • Nelson Velázquez delivers clutch game-tying hit
Nelson Velázquez had a pinch-hit two-RBI triple to tie the game in the 9th inning in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Sunday.

Advice: Velázquez didn’t start the game, but he was brought on to face left-hander Yuki Matsui in the ninth inning and drilled a 109 mph triple off the center field wall to tie the game. It was a ball that could have left the yard in 18 of 30 MLB stadiums and continued Velázquez’s trend of only getting hits in big situations. In his last 11 games, Velázquez has gone 8-for-43 but five of those hits have been home runs and two others have driven in runs. The slugger is hitting just .219 on the season, which will dampen his fantasy value, but the power is for real. Rotoworld Today, 2:46 pm
    • Dominic Fletcher suffers shoulder injury Sunday
Dominic Fletcher was removed from Sunday’s game against the Brewers after banging his shoulder into the left field wall to steal a three-run homer from William Contreras.

Advice: Fletcher told the coaching staff that he’d have trouble throwing the ball, which is why the decision was made to pull him. White Sox’ skipper Pedro Grifol told reporters after the game that Fletcher will be re-evaluated on Monday. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 2:43 pm
