    • Gets sixth save Sunday
Jax allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Jax hadn't logged a save since May 10, but he received the opportunity to do so Sunday after Jhoan Duran closed out the matinee game. While the two relievers initially shared closing duties early in May, Duran has been the Twins' main closer for about a month while Jax has settled into a setup role. Jax has been excellent all year with a 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 43:8 K:BB with six saves, 12 holds and two blown saves over 31.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:56 pm
    • Plagued by long ball
Singer (4-4) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: All three runs charged to Singer came via home run, with Shohei Ohtani slugging a solo shot in the third inning and going back-to-back with Freddie Freeman in the sixth inning. Sunday's start was Singer's first allowing multiple home runs and was his second time in seven appearances completing six innings. Through 14 outings, Singer owns a 3.39 ERA and a 76:23 K:BB across 77 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Rangers in Arlington next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Grabs save in Game 1
Duran retired the only batter he faced to earn the save in a 6-2 win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Cole Sands left two runners on with two outs, but Duran was able to get Abraham Toro to ground out to end the contest. This was Duran's first save in five appearances, though he added a hold and two wins in that span. The closer is up to 11 saves, four holds, a 3.60 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP and a 17:8 K:BB over 20 innings this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:32 pm
    • Strong in win
Ober (6-4) allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings to earn the win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Ober had his start pushed back a day after a rainout Saturday. This was his first quality start since May 12 and the first time he's completed six innings in that span. The right-hander has had a mediocre season so far with a 4.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 73:20 K:BB over 73 innings through 14 starts. Ober is projected to make his next start in a rematch versus the Athletics in Oakland. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm
    • Griffin Jax closes out Athletics in nightcap
Griffin Jax picked up his sixth save of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Athletics to preserve a one-run advantage.

Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander got the call after Jhoan Duran closed out the first game of the doubleheader earlier in the afternoon. He did allow a one-out single to JJ Bleday that put the tying run on base, but battled back to get Miguel Andujar on a fly ball to center field and Tyler Soderstrom on strikes to end it. Jax has been a key cog in the Twins’ bullpen this season, posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and a 43/8 K/BB ratio (31 1/3 innings) while recording six saves and three victories. • Brady Singer tagged for three homers in loss
Brady Singer allowed three runs, all of them coming on solo homers, over six innings Sunday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: At least Singer got beaten by the best, giving up two homers to Shohei Ohtani and one to Freddie Freeman. Singer has opened June by surrendering 13 runs — 11 earned — in 15 1/3 innings. He’s a solid enough fantasy option with the Royals playing well, but he might prove droppable later this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm
    • Roughed up by Mets
Cease (6-6) took the loss as he went 3.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits and three walks Sunday versus the Mets.

Advice: From the jump, Cease just didn't have his best stuff Sunday, as he allowed the first four hitters to score after serving up homers to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso. The 28-year-old gave up a season-high seven runs in what was his shortest outing of the campaign. After pitching to a 2.19 ERA over his first eight starts, the righty has run into a rough patch, giving up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts and seeing his ERA climb to 3.95 in the process. • Six strong innings
Parker (5-3) picked up the win Sunday against Miami, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out four over six innings.

Advice: Parker's excellent rookie season continued as he turned in another quality start, his fourth over his past six games. During that span, the southpaw has pitched to a 3.03 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP and a 25:8 K:BB across 35.2 innings. While Parker doesn't typically post high strikeout totals, he has been remarkably consistent all season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in all 12 of his starts. He will look to keep the success going in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend at Coors Field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:14 pm
    • Dylan Cease chased early against Mets
Dylan Cease allowed seven earned runs in just 3 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Mets. He struck out five, walked three, and was tagged with the loss.

Advice: The Mets jumped all over Cease with a four-run first inning and sent him packing before he could finish four innings. His command was poor overall and he served up meatballs to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso that found the seats. This was only the third time this season Cease did not complete at least five innings and it’s unlikely Sunday’s start becomes part of a larger trend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:14 pm
