    Ceddanne Rafaela crushed a pair of home runs and drove in five on Friday night, propelling the Red Sox to a lopsided 7-3 victory over the Tigers at Fenway Park.

    Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a 359-foot (101.0 mph) three-run shot to left off of Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning — giving the Red Sox a 4-1 lead. He added to that lead with a 375-foot (99.5 mph EV) two-run shot off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame.     David Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base as the Red Sox triumphed over the Tigers on Friday evening.

    Advice: All three of Hamilton’s hits in the ballgame were singles. He reached on a one-out single off of Joey Wentz in the sixth inning, swiped second base and then rode home on Ceddanne Rafaela’s second long ball of the night. With his three-hit attack.     Tanner Houck delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on three hits over seven stellar innings.

    Advice: The 27-year-old hurler racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Gio Urshela in the opening inning. After that, the Tigers never really threatened against him. Houck got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 32 percent.     Advice: Bregman broke a scoreless tie with his two-run blast in the fourth inning and came around to score Houston's final run following a triple in the sixth. It was the third multi-hit effort for the third baseman across his past five games, and he's batting .350 (7-for-20) with a pair of homers and four RBI over that stretch.   • David Hamilton starts at SS again
    David Hamilton is starting at shortstop for the Red Sox on Thursday against the Tigers.

    Advice: Hamilton has now started five of the last six games in the middle infield for Boston as the Red Sox have transitioned Ceddanne Rafaela back to the outfield. Hamilton struggled defensively in his first chance in 2024 after being thrust into a starting role following the injury to Trevor Story. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said he intentionally kept Hamilton on the MLB roster to just allow him to take a breath, and Hamilton has rewarded his confidence by hitting .311/.380/.489 in 17 games in May with one home run, eight runs scored, and six steals.
