• Belts homer in loss
Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: The Mariners' offense remained mired in a funk Wednesday, but Raleigh prevented a shutout defeat with a sixth-inning, 423-foot shot to center for the final run of the night for either team. The slugging backstop has now left the yard in three of his last eight games, putting him halfway to the career-best total of 30 homers he established last season. • Danny Jansen back from paternity list
Blue Jays returned Danny Jansen from the paternity list.

Advice: Jansen and his wife welcomed a baby girl this week, so congrats to both of them. He will return to the Blue Jays active roster but is not in the lineup on Thursday. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:09 am
  • Clubs fourth homer
Moreno went 3-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Moreno doubled in his first at-bat before adding a two-run shot in the third to tie the game at 4-4. The catcher went on to reach three times in the contest and has now hit safely in each of his first two games since returning from a thumb injury. It marked Moreno's third three-hit performance of the campaign, and he's now homered in two of his last three games (dating back to June 21). Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:56 am

  • Activated from paternity leave
The Blue Jays activated Jansen from the paternity list Thursday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Jansen missed the first three games of the series while tending to more important matters. He's back in the lineup for Thursday's finale, batting second and occupying the designated hitter spot. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:28 am
  • Exits starting nine
Wong is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Miami.

Advice: Wong extended his hit streak to 17 games in Wednesday's win over the Marlins, but he'll take a seat for Thursday's matinee. Reese McGuire will be behind the plate for Nick Pivetta. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:56 am

  • Hit streak at 17 games
Wong went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: The backstop continued his breakout campaign, hitting safely in his 17th straight game while swiping his fourth bag of the year. Wong is slashing .333/.405/.470 during his hit streak, the longest by a Boston catcher since Victor Martinez put together a 25-game streak in 2009. The only other catcher in Red Sox history with a hitting streak of 17 games or longer is Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk, who reached that number twice between the 1975 and 1976 seasons. • Pops grand slam Wednesday
Kelly went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Kelly was one of four Detroit players to go deep, and his third-inning shot was the biggest blow of the game. It was the catcher's sixth home run of the season and he's now up to 25 RBI. Kelly continues to split time behind the plate with Jake Rogers, though the former has been more effective offensively, which could lead to an increased role in the months ahead. • Cal Raleigh blasts solo homer in loss to O’s
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Raleigh’s solo homer in the sixth inning off Keegan Akin provided the only offense the Mariners could muster on Wednesday against Baltimore. The 27-year-old backstop is hitting .201/.288/.394 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, and four steals across 313 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:42 pm

  • Carson Kelly blasts grand slam in rout over Twins
Carson Kelly clobbered a grand slam in the third inning on Wednesday night, powering the Tigers to a 9-2 victory over the Twins in Minneapolis.

Advice: Kelly broke up a scoreless tie when he crushed a 387-foot (103.5 mph EV) grand slam off of David Festa in the third inning. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but was all the offense that Keider Montero and company would require in this one. On the season, the 29-year-old backstop is now hitting .245/.321/.406 with six homers and 25 RBI. He’s looking increasingly likely to be dealt in advance of the trade deadline at the end of the month. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:38 pm
