• Falls to Phillies
Irvin (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Irvin got off to a shaky start Friday, allowing all four runs over his first three innings. The 27-year-old right-hander had allowed just four earned runs in his previous three starts (18 innings), striking out 13 while issuing just one walk in that span. Overall, Irvin has a solid 3.91 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 38:9 K:BB over nine starts (50.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Twins in his next outing. • Grabs third save
Hoffman earned the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Nationals, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: After Jose Alvarado finished the eighth inning, the Phillies turned to Hoffman in the ninth. The right-hander worked around Joey Gallo's one-out double, closing out the 4-2 victory for his third save of the season -- his first since April 30. Hoffman's been sharp this year, pitching to a 0.90 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB over 20 innings. While Alvarado is still likely Philly's preferred ninth-inning option, Hoffman should see the occasional save chance depending on matchups. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

  • Rebounds vs. Nats
Wheeler (5-3) earned the win Friday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 7.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It was an encouraging return to form for Wheeler, after he was tagged for six runs in four innings in his last start against Miami. Before that outing, Wheeler had allowed just one earned run over four starts (25.1 innings). He's now won five of his last six starts while lowering his ERA to 2.52 with a 0.97 WHIP and 71:19 K:BB over 60.2 innings this season. Wheeler is currently in line for a home matchup with the Rangers in his next outing. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Exits with dizziness
D'Arnaud was removed from Friday's game against San Diego due to dizziness.

Advice: D'Arnaud took a foul ball off his facemask in the fifth inning and did not take the field for the sixth. Atlanta will likely evaluate him for a possible concussion, and an update on his status should come after Friday's contest. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

  • Brandon Marsh delivers RBI double in win over Nats
Brandon Marsh walked and delivered an RBI double on Friday night, helping to lead the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Nationals.

Advice: Marsh drew a walk off of Jake Irvin to lead off the second inning and ultimately came around to score on a wild pitch. He then smacked a run-scoring double off of Irvin in the third inning that extended the Phillies’ advantage to 4-1. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .248/.309/.429 with six homers, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 40 games. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Alec Bohm drives in run as Phillies beat Nationals
Alec Bohm clubbed an RBI double on Friday as the Phillies defeated the Nationals in Philadelphia.

Advice: Bohm opened the scoring in the home half of the first inning, plating J.T. Realmuto with his run-scoring double off of Nationals’ right-hander Jake irvin. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night. For the season, the 27-year-old slugger is now hitting a robust .331/.397/.521 with four long balls, 37 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. • Jeff Hoffman slams door on Nationals in ninth
Jeff Hoffman slammed the door on the Nationals in the ninth inning on Friday evening, protecting a two-run lead to earn his third save of the season.

Advice: Jose Alvarado came on to get the final two outs in the eighth inning of this one, leaving Hoffman to clean things up in the ninth. He did allow a one-out double to Joey Gallo that brought the tying run to the dish, but was able to get Ildemaro Vargas on a pop up to second base and Jesse Winker on a fly ball to right field to end it. Hoffman has been outstanding out of the Phillies’ bullpen this season, registering a 0.90 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and a 27/7 K/BB ratio across 19 1/3 innings. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Zack Wheeler fans six in victory over Nationals
Zack Wheeler picked up his fifth victory of the season on Friday night, holding the Nationals to just two runs on three hits over 7 1/3 strong innings of work.

Advice: The 33-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while issuing three free passes. The Nationals’ scoring in the contest came on a pair of RBI doubles — one by Keibert Ruiz in the second inning and another off the bat of Eddie Rosario in the fifth. Aside from that though, Wheeler was in complete control. He got 17 swings and misses on 104 pitches on the night — 10 on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 5-3 on the season, Wheeler will carry a 2.52 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 71/19 K/BB ratio (60 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Rangers. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Eddie Rosario smacks RBI double in loss Friday
Eddie Rosario went 1-for-4 with an RBI double on Friday night as the Nationals fell to the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Advice: The Nationals had nobody on base with two outs in the fifth inning, when C.J. Abrams and Rosario hit back-to-back doubles off of Zack Wheeler to produce a run and pull the Nats to within two runs at 4-2. That would be as close as they would get. While Rosario has been productive this season from a fantasy perspective — with five homers and six stolen bases — he is still hitting a pitiful .179/.248/.369 through 106 at-bats on the season.
