    • Falls to Brewers on Saturday
Abbott (5-6) took the loss against Milwaukee on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Advice: Abbott navigated around a stream of baserunners to keep the Brewers off the scoreboard for four frames, but he put himself in quick danger by walking the first two batters in the fifth. That came back to hurt him in a big way when Joey Ortiz hit a changeup for a three-run homer, accounting for all the runs Abbott surrendered in the outing. It was the southpaw's second straight start of five frames after he went at least six innings in four consecutive outings between May 15 and June 3. Abbott has fared decently well this season with a 3.42 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, though his 60:25 K:B over 79 frames doesn't help his fantasy stock. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Andrew Abbott takes loss against Brewers
Andrew Abbott allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: It wasn’t a poor performance for the left-hander, who walked three and struck out three on the day. As is typical, Abbott didn’t get many whiffs, with just six whiffs on 43 swings for a 14 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW. However, he also didn’t allow much hard contact with just an 82.3 mph average exit velocity allowed. He’ll take a 3.42 ERA into a game against the Red Sox next week, and his lack of strikeouts always makes him a bit risky for fantasy. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Nathan Eovaldi goes just three in loss to Mariners
Nathan Eovaldi lasted just three innings while allowing four runs with six strikeouts in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

Advice: Eovaldi needed 75 pitches to get through the three frames, and the Rangers called it a day for the 34-year-old after he completed that frame. he allowed four walks and allowed four hits, including a two-run homer to Julio Rodríguez. A rare off-night for Eovaldi, who still has a solid 3.15 ERA even with this disappointing — and not disastrous — effort. He’s scheduled to face the Royals next weekend. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) throws bullpen on Saturday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) threw around 30 pitches in a successful two-inning bullpen session on Saturday.

Advice: He’ll throw another bullpen early next week and if all goes well with that session, it sounds like Senga will finally be cleared to face live hitters. He’s still going to need several minor league rehab starts before he’s an option to join the Mets’ rotation, but he’s at least taking small steps in the right direction. Rotoworld Today, 2:01 pm

    • Tosses bullpen session
Senga (shoulder/triceps) threw a two-inning bullpen session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Senga was able to throw more than 30 pitches in the session and he's expected to throw a shorter one next week. The right-hander has been slowly working his way back from a posterior right capsule strain and then a subsequent triceps injury and he's yet to make his season debut. Senga has already been ruled out for the first half of the season, but if he can build off of Saturday's session next week, he'll remain on track to return relatively soon following the All-Star break. • Placed on 15-day IL
Bradish (elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right UCL sprain Saturday.

Advice: Bradish pitched five frames in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Phillies in extra innings, leaving the contest with right elbow discomfort, which is now understood to be due to the much-despised UCL. The 27-year-old missed the first month of the season with a UCL sprain, so he's likely set to miss more than the minimum 15 days and could be out until after the All-Star break. Left-hander Nick Vespi was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to replace Bradish on Baltimore's major-league roster in a corresponding move Saturday. Cade Povich appears to be the most likely candidate to replace Bradish in the starting rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 10:21 am

    • O’s put Kyle Bradish on IL with right UCL sprain
Orioles placed RHP Kyle Bradish on the 15-day injured list with a right UCL sprain.

Advice: Not good. Bradish lands on the injured list after being removed from Friday’s start against the Phillies with right elbow discomfort. The primary concern here for fantasy managers is that Bradish missed time earlier this year due to a UCL sprain in his right elbow, which caused him to miss all of spring training and the first month of the season. There should be an update on his status at some point in the near future, but the 27-year-old righty could be facing a lengthy absence. It’s a significant hit to Baltimore’s starting rotation and a massive loss for fantasy managers as well. Rotoworld Today, 10:19 am

    • Kyle Bradish exits Friday with elbow discomfort
Kyle Bradish was removed from Friday’s start against the Phillies with right elbow discomfort.

Advice: Not good. Bradish is slated to undergo further testing after lasting just five innings on Friday night before exiting after just 74 pitches. He was spotted shaking his elbow throughout the contest on a night where his velocity was up significantly from previous levels. The biggest concern here for fantasy managers is that the 27-year-old righty is roughly six weeks removed from returning from a UCL sprain in his right elbow that caused him to miss all of spring training and the opening month of the season. There should be an update on his status in the coming days and it seems highly likely that he could wind up requiring another trip to the injured list. We’ll have updates on the developing situation as they unfold. Rotoworld Today, 5:58 am

    • Kyle Bradish solid across five innings
Kyle Bradish allowed two earned runs via solo homers in five innings on Friday in a loss to the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one.

Advice: Bradish hadn’t given up a home run all season before Friday, but the Phillies put two in the seats for their only two runs. Still, Bradish was mostly in control with a heavy diet of sinkers to supplement his excellent slider and curveball. He left the game with 74 pitches one inning shy of qualifying for a quality start.
