    • Picks up second win
Littell (2-2) got the victory Saturday versus the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He notched three strikeouts.

Advice: Littell came into this outing with zero walks over his last four starts and at least six strikeouts in all of those outings. While he went the other direction in both areas during Saturday's start, it was an effective outing nonetheless. Littell is sitting on a 3.02 ERA, but this was his first win since March 30. His next outing projects to come in Boston. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:49 pm

    • Zack Littell beats Yankees to improve to 2-2
Zack Littell picked up his second victory of the season on Saturday, limiting the Yankees to two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 frames.

Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, as Anthony Volpe smacked a two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded. Littell settled in beautifully afterwards, allowing his offense to battle back. He got eight swings and misses on 80 at-bats on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 25 percent. Now 2-2 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.02 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Thursday’s battle against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Kodai Senga (shoulder) remains in holding pattern
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Kodai Senga (shoulder) will need a few more bullpen sessions before progressing to facing hitters.

Advice: Mendoza added that Senga remains in the process of tweaking his throwing mechanics, which is the reason he hasn’t faced hitters yet. It’s unclear whether this latest development will push back his season debut, but it’s a notable wrinkle as he continues his rehabilitation process. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:32 am

    • Fans seven in second win
Ryan (2-2) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings in a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

Advice: A solo shot by Isiah Kiner-Falefa accounted for the only blemish on Ryan's line. The right-hander fired 75 of 104 pitches for strikes in his longest outing of the season, as he produced his fourth straight quality start and sixth of the year. Ryan will take a 3.21 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 53:6 K:BB through 47.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:34 am

    • Stuck with loss in quality start
Pfaadt (1-3) took the loss Friday as the Diamondbacks fell 4-2 to the Orioles, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He failed to strike out a batter.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander produced his third straight quality start and fourth of the season on 88 pitches (56 strikes), but Pfaadt generated only six swinging strikes as he came up empty in the strikeout department for the first time in 26 big-league starts. In fact, he'd never fanned fewer than three batters in an outing before Friday. Pfaadt will take a 4.60 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 42:8 K:BB through 47 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Reds. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:09 am
    • Earns second win
Abbott (2-4) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings to earn the win Friday over the Giants.

Advice: Abbott gave up a solo home run to Thairo Estrada in the first inning and an RBI single to Tyler Fitzgerald in the second. After that, Abbott was able to settle in to earn his first win in five starts. The two strikeouts were a season low, but he's walked just one batter over his last three outings combined, though he's also given up five homers in that span. The 24-year-old has a 3.35 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB over 43 innings across eight starts this season. Abbott is projected to make his next start on the road in Arizona. • Andrew Abbott goes five, gives up two vs. Giants
Andrew Abbott surrendered two runs over five innings in a win Friday against the Giants.

Advice: Abbott didn’t have his best swing-and-miss stuff, as he struck out only two while throwing 88 pitches. He didn’t issue a walk, however, and after giving up runs in the first and second inning, he settled down quite nicely. The southpaw sees his ERA tick up slightly from 3.32 to 3.35, but all things considered, this was a good outing for Abbott. He’ll face the D-Backs next week in Arizona. Rotoworld Friday, 9:49 pm
    • Brandon Pfaadt goes without a strikeout in loss
Brandon Pfaadt dropped to 1-3 after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: Pfaadt managed to turn in a solid outing despite going without a strikeout tonight. He had never fanned fewer than three batters in 26 major league starts. Pfaadt’s ERA stands at 4.60. His 42/8 K/BB ratio in 47 innings is nice, but he’s looking a little too hittable with his velocity down one mph from last year. Rotoworld Friday, 8:32 pm
    • Joe Ryan keeps Blue Jays quiet in victory
Joe Ryan pitched seven innings of one-run ball Friday in the Twins’ 3-2 defeat of the Blue Jays.

Advice: The lone run was a 365-foot homer from Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The ball barely rated as hard hit, leaving his bat at 95.5 mph, and was a homer in only 11 ballparks. It’s Ryan’s fourth straight quality start, and he still hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs in a game this season. Alas, the win tonight was only his second. Ryan will face the Yankees next.
