      Finnegan picked up the save Sunday against Colorado, allowing two hits with two strikeouts across a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: After blowing the save Saturday night on a pitch clock violation with the bases loaded -- the first time that's happened since MLB introduced the pitch clock -- Finnegan was able to convert for his 22nd save of the campaign Sunday. However, he flirted with danger as Ryan McMahon and Brendan Rodgers hit back-to-back singles to start the final half-inning. Finnegan kept the game-tying run at second and retired three straight to close out the contest. The 32-year-old trails only Ryan Helsley and Emmanuel Clase for the most saves in baseball.       Advice: It was not without drama, which is par for the course with Finnegan’s saves. He allowed back-to-back singles to start the inning, but then got Nolan Jones to strike out, Hunter Goodman to fly out, and caught Michael Toglia looking to end the game. Finnegan has a 2.23 ERA on the season but could lose a significant amount of fantasy value if he gets traded at the deadline.     • Kyle Finnegan melts down in blown save vs. Rockies
      Kyle Finnegan was charged with two runs and failed to record an out on Saturday in an ugly blown save against the Rockies.

      Advice: Finnegan was saddled with a loss in the ninth inning after failing to hold a one-run lead at Coors Field. It was his first blown save since May 18. He gave up four consecutive hits to open the frame, including a game-tying single to Brenton Doyle, before handing out a bases-loaded free pass to Ryan McMahon to push across the game-winning run. It was a pretty legendary meltdown, but fantasy managers should overlook it considering the environment and how solid Finnegan has been overall this year. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:16 am

      Pivetta took a no-decision Saturday against Cincinnati, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings.

      Advice: All three of the runs allowed by Pivetta came via the long ball -- Spencer Steer tagged him for a two-run homer in the first inning, and Elly De La Cruz launched a solo shot in the third. Pivetta didn't damage his ERA too dramatically, but he exited after 4.1 innings after racking up 96 pitches. It was the third time over his past six starts that he's failed to complete five frames, though the right-hander also has a pair of seven-inning quality starts during that span.     • Pivetta allows three in no-decision against Reds
      Nick Pivetta allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday.

      Advice: Pivetta gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He was on the hook for the loss before a late comeback by the Red Sox offense. It was another pedestrian start from Pivetta that might be becoming a trend. In his first eight starts of the year, he had 51 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings. In his last three starts, he’s had just 13 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home next weekend.

      Finnegan struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 21st save of the season in a 3-1 win over Arizona.

      Advice: The right-hander breezed through the Diamondbacks' 5-6-7 hitters on 14 pitches (11 strikes) en route to his eighth straight successful conversion. Finnegan has put together the best first half of his career with a 1.72 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 33:10 K:BB through 31.1 innings, but if the Nats fall out of the wild-card picture, he figures to become one of the team's biggest trade chips given that he has just one more year of arbitration eligibility in 2025 before reaching free agency.       Kyle Finnegan slammed the door on the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning on Wednesday, retiring all three hitters that he faced to preserve a two-run advantage.

      Advice: Finnegan picked up his 21st save of the season for his efforts. The 32-year-old hurler made things look easy in this one, getting Joc Pederson on a ground ball to first and then striking out Eugenio Suarez and Gabriel Moreno to end it. While his job security was shaky heading into the season, Finnegan has been an absolute monster for fantasy managers this season, posting a 1.72 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and a 33/10 K/BB ratio over 31 1/3 innings of work while converting 21 of his 23 save chances and chipping in two victories for good measure.       The Red Sox reinstated Martin (personal) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Martin was placed on the IL in early June after informing Boston of his issues with anxiety, but he will rejoin the Red Sox' active roster just one day after becoming eligible. Martin tossed a scoreless inning at Triple-A Worcester as part of his rehab, and it's possible the hiatus will be what Martin needs to right the ship after falling to a 4.22 ERA in 21 appearances with Boston this season.
