    • Out of lineup, MRI results TBD
Rengifo (wrist) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the Cubs, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Angels are still waiting on the results of an MRI on Rengifo's wrist, which he injured during Wednesday's game against the Athletics. He's currently listed as a reserve on the team's lineup card, but Keston Hiura has been added to the taxi squad and could replace Rengifo on the active roster, depending on the latter's test results. • Singles, scores in win
Andujar went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Andujar's third-inning single plated Brett Harris with the Athletics' first run of the afternoon. The timely knock marked the eighth time in the last 10 games Andujar has reached safely, helping keep his average at an impressive .293 despite some cooling off following a blistering start to the season. The veteran has flashed only average pop -- only nine of his 41 hits have gone for extra bases -- but his modest 14.3 percent strikeout rate continues to give him plenty of opportunities to have the ball drop in. • Records fourth steal in win
Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Rooker provided the only multi-hit effort of the night for the Athletics while tying the career high of four stolen bases he'd set in 2023. The 29-year-old is on a week-plus tear at the plate, one that's seen him hit .394 and generate four multi-hit tallies in his last nine games. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

    • Drawing start at third base
Mastrobuoni will start at third base and bat eighth in Friday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Christopher Morel is getting a second straight day in the designated hitter spot, so Mastrobuoni will be tasked with handling the hot corner. It's his first start since he was recalled from Triple-A Iowa back on June 18. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

    • Tigers to call up OF Parker Meadows
Tigers are calling up OF Parker Meadows from Triple-A, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.

Advice: Meadows struggled mightily with the Tigers earlier this year. He hit .096 with two home runs in 32 games with Detroit. Meadows hit .298 with eight home runs and 19 stolen bases in 47 games with Triple-A Toledo. The average could continue to be a problem, but if he can just get on base he should be a good source of steals. Rotoworld Today, 8:11 am
    • On base three times Thursday
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-innings loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: He was also caught stealing, giving the center fielder 15 steals in 23 attempts on the season. Chisholm had drawn just one free pass over his prior 13 games, so his display of patience was unexpected and not likely to be repeated any time soon. On the year, 26-year-old is slashing .259/.326/.416 through 84 contests with 10 homers, 37 runs and 40 RBI, and most importantly Chisholm has stayed healthy after missing 167 games across the last two seasons. • Set to be recalled
The Tigers will recall Meadows from Triple-A Toledo prior to Friday's game against the Reds, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Meadows was sent down by the Tigers in early May after putting up a lowly .443 OPS with a 37.7 percent strikeout rate over 32 games. However, he got back on track at Toledo, slashing .298/.394/.511 with eight home runs, 19 stolen bases and just a 19 percent strikeout rate in 47 contests. Meadows will get regular reps at least against right-handed pitching, and while there's no guarantee he'll be better this time around in the majors, his power/speed combo makes him worthy of being added in most formats. • Smacks go-ahead home run
Cave went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Cave launched a 430-foot solo homer on the second pitch he saw in the bottom of the sixth to put Colorado on top 4-3. It was the outfielder's first home run of the campaign and he's now hit safely in two of his last three games to open the month of July. Over that brief stretch he's batting .455 (5-for-11) with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Today, 6:54 am

    • Outrighted to Triple-A
The Brewers outrighted Roller to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

Advice: Roller cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and will remain in the organization. The 27-year-old outfielder has hit only .201/.238/.321with Nashville this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:23 am
