    • Hunter Greene coughs up six runs to Pirates
Hunter Greene allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The game started with Greene throwing up on the mound after delivering a first-inning fastball and it didn’t get much better from there. He struck out five and walked two and his velocity was fine on the day, but he clearly wasn’t feeling 100 percent. He posted a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW, but the command wasn’t great and the Pirates were able to scratch out their runs on just one extra-base hit. Greene will hopefully be feeling better for his next start against the Cardinals this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:11 pm

    • Secures third win
Jansen (3-1) allowed a hit in a scoreless inning Monday. He struck out one and earned a win over Toronto.

Advice: Jansen worked a quick ninth inning, needing only 10 pitches to keep the game tied 6-6. Boston won the game in the bottom of the frame and gave him his second win of the month. Jansen is 2-0 with eight saves and a 0.77 ERA over his last 11 appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:02 pm

    • Picks up save Sunday
Jansen allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn a save over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Jansen worked around a two-out single to finish off the 7-4 game. It was about as efficient of an outing as it gets, as he threw 11 of his 12 pitches for strikes. He's now converted 15 of his 16 save chances this season, including 11 straight. Jansen has produced a 2.29 ERA since his last blown save April 16, lowering his season mark to 2.39. • Punches out seven
Valdez (6-5) allowed a run on six hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out seven and earning a win against Baltimore.

Advice: Valdez rolled through five shutout frames without facing too much trouble before Jordan Westburg belted a solo shot in the sixth inning. The Astros gave Valdez plenty of run support as he halted a brief two-start losing streak. It was the third time this year he's struck out at least seven batters, and each of those outings have come in his last eight starts. He's produced an impressive 2.73 ERA through 33 innings this month, lowering his season mark to 3.68 across 80.2 frames. Valdez will carry a 63:26 K:BB into his next outing, which is projected to be on the road against the Mets. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 6:47 pm
    • Framber Valdez dazzles against Orioles
Framber Valdez allowed one run on six hits in seven innings in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Valdez struck out seven and walked two on the day. He allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a solo home run to Jordan Westburg. The left-hander induced 11 whiffs on 45 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and 34 percent CSW against a really talented offense. That’s now back-to-back really strong starts for Valdez after a rough outing against the Giants. He’ll carry a 3.68 ERA into a plus matchup against the Mets next week. Rotoworld Jun 23, 2:44 pm
    • Kenley Jansen earns second save in two days
Kenley Jansen earned his second save in two days with a scoreless ninth Sunday against the Reds.

Advice: It’s Jansen’s 15th save of the year and No. 435 in his career. Jansen and Chris Martin both pitched for the second straight day today, so unless the Red Sox are willing to go to one of them three days in a row, Justin Slaten might get the ninth in a save situation Monday. • Aaron Civale allows one run in no-decision
Aaron Civale held the Pirates to one run and three hits over five innings Sunday.

Advice: The run came on a wind-aided homer from Bryan Reynolds. Civale allowed just three hard-hit balls, with the homer not actually being one of them. He didn’t factor into the decision, but the Rays managed to prevail in a Civale start for the first time since May 3; they had lost eight in a row. Civale has a respectable 3.94 ERA in his last six starts, but he’s still up at 5.20 for the year. Rotoworld Jun 23, 2:14 pm

    • Allows one run in no-decision
Civale did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over five innings against the Pirates. He struck out three.

Advice: Civale was pulled after having tossed a season-low 61 pitches over five effective innings, with the only blemish coming in the form of a Bryan Reynolds fourth-inning solo homer. It appears this was more of a managerial decision due to the heat and the Pirates having the top of the order coming up for a third time as opposed to any type of distress for Civale, who rebounded from his previous outing when he was chased after failing to complete four innings. Civale has struck out 79 in 76.1 innings this season and will carry a 5.42 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place next weekend when the Rays welcome the Nationals to Tampa for a three-game set.
