      Advice: The steal was his first of the year, after he'd swiped 30 over the prior two seasons combined. Hayes missed most of May with back trouble, which could help explain his lack of activity on the basepaths, and Friday's single was his first hit of any kind since May 5. The third baseman has a disappointing .237/.318/.311 slash line through 36 games with one homer and 12 RBI, but if he can stay healthy he's capable of heating up over the summer.       Luis Robert Jr. (hip) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

      Advice: Robert has gone 1-for-12 with a home run in three games for Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment. There’s optimism that he’ll be ready to return early next week, but he’s going to get a couple more minor-league games under his belt this weekend to continue knocking off the rust.       Bibee (4-1) allowed a run on three hits and a walk over 6.1 innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Bibee dominated in six shutout frames before Washington finally pushed home a run in the seventh. He's turned in three straight quality starts, dropping his season ERA from 4.34 to 3.74 during that span. The 25-year-old righty has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his first 12 starts.       Tanner Bibee allowed one earned run across 6 ⅓ innings in a 7-1 win over the Nationals on Friday. He struck out seven and walked one.

      Advice: This was a tremendous start for Bibee mostly fueled by increased fastball velocity. His heater ticked up to 98 MPH and averaged 95.5 MPH, but tailed off in the seventh inning as the Nationals started to get around on him.
