    • On base four times in win
Wong went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's 14-2 win over the White Sox. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Wong, who is enjoying a breakout campaign, raised his batting average to .327 and OBP to .382. Those career-best marks are heavily influenced by a .387 BABIP, making the backstop a strong sell-high candidate. Per MLB's Statcast, Wong's expected batting average is only .255. • Sitting Thursday
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: Jeffers has gone 0-for-11 with four strikeouts over his last three games, and he'll get a day to regroup Thursday. Christian Vazquez will instead start behind the dish and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:06 am

    • Rest day Wednesday
Wong is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: The Red Sox are playing a day game Wednesday after losing to Atlanta on Tuesday night, so Wong will be getting a maintenance day. Reese McGuire will pick up the start at catcher while Wong rests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:33 am

    • Absent from lineup
Jeffers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Yankees.

Advice: It looks to be a routine day off for Jeffers, who is just two off his career high with 12 home runs this season. Christian Vazquez will do the catching for Bailey Ober on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:23 pm

    • Sitting again Sunday
Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Wong is on the bench for the second day in a row, but the Red Sox haven't indicated that their top backstop is dealing with any sort of injury or illness. Reese McGuire will get another turn behind the dish Sunday at Wong's expense. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:58 am

    • Receiving breather Saturday
Wong is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Tigers, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Wong will take a seat after going 2-for-6 with a double and a run scored over the first two games of the series with Detroit. Reese McGuire will draw the start behind the plate and bat seventh against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:39 am

    • Homers twice Thursday
Jeffers went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three total RBI in Thursday's 7-6 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Jeffers got Minnesota on the board with a two-run blast off Daniel Lynch in the fourth inning, cutting the Royals' lead to 4-2, before adding a solo shot in the fifth. The 26-year-old Jeffers is up to 12 homers on the year, just two shy of his career high, though he'd cooled off at the plate following a red-hot start to the year -- he'd gone 13 games without a long ball, going just 5-for-42 (.119) in that span. Overall, Jeffers is slashing .254/.342/.544 through 196 plate appearances with 36 RBI, 25 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:58 pm

    • Jeffers has two-homer game against Royals Thursday
Ryan Jeffers went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Jeffers continues to carry the Twins offense. The two-homer game puts him at 12 on the season now. Jeffers is hitting .254 with an .886 OPS on the year. As far as second catchers go, it doesn’t get much better than what he’s provided so far this season.

    • Connor Wong collects two hits in loss to Orioles
Connor Wong went 2-for-4 and scored the Red Sox’ lone run in Wednesday night’s loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Wong smacked a one-out single off of Corbin Burnes in the opening inning and took second on a throwing error by Colton Cowser. He then went to third on an errant pickoff throw and scored the game’s first run on a ground ball off the bat of Dominic Smith. That would be the extent of the Red Sox’ offense though. With his two-hit attack, the 28-year-old backstop is now slashing .329/.368/.471 with five homers, 19 RBI and a stolen base on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:09 pm
