Caballero went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts, two runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the Athletics.

Advice: This line is indicative of Caballero's skillset, as he's striking out at a 29.3 percent clip and has just a .306 on-base percentage. However, he has already racked up 20 stolen bases, only the second player to hit that mark at this point in the campaign. Caballero's playing time could be in danger upon the return of Taylor Walls (hip), but for now, he fills a key role for both the Rays and fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:34 am

    • Belts sixth homer
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a triple in Thursday's 4-0 win against Seattle.

Advice: Bregman broke a scoreless tie with his two-run blast in the fourth inning and came around to score Houston's final run following a triple in the sixth. It was the third multi-hit effort for the third baseman across his past five games, and he's batting .350 (7-for-20) with a pair of homers and four RBI over that stretch. Bregman could finally be getting his bat going following a rough start to the season that has his slash line still at a meager .218/.280/.360. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • Zac Gallen leaves start with hamstring strain
Zac Gallen was removed from Thursday’s start against the Mets with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Gallen will presumably head for some additional imaging the determine the severity of the injury and determine how much time he’ll wind up missing. The 28-year-old righty lasted just six pitches into Thursday’s outing at Citi Field before leaving with a trainer. He’s a near-lock to wind up requiring a trip to the injured list and will most likely wind up missing a couple weeks. It’s a tough break for the Diamondbacks, and fantasy managers, since Gallen has been one of the most durable starters in the fantasy landscape over the last few years. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:24 pm

    • Diagnosed with hamstring strain
Gallen was removed from Thursday's start against the Mets with a right hamstring strain, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen left Thursday's start with trainers after giving up one hit and throwing only six pitches, as he aggravated a hamstring injury that originally popped up April 26. An exact return timeline is unclear, but he'll almost certainly miss at least one start and is likely to end up on the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:14 pm

    • Exits Thursday's start
Gallen exited Thursday's start against the Mets with an apparent injury, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.comreports.

Advice: Gallen threw only six pitches and failed to record an out before being pulled from the contest. More information should be available after Thursday's game, though he has battled hamstring tightness a few times this season, most recently on May 18. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:43 pm

    • Zac Gallen exits with trainer after six pitches
Zac Gallen left Thursday’s start against the Mets with a trainer after just six pitches.

Advice: Not good. The positive news here, if that’s at all possible, is that his abrupt exit doesn’t appear to be arm-related. Gallen was limping slightly, but was able to walk off with a trainer after facing just one batter during Thursday’s series opener against the Mets. There should be an update on his status shortly. • Hangs on for ninth save
Duran picked up the save Thursday against the Royals, allowing two unearned runs on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning.

Advice: Protecting a three-run lead in the ninth inning, Duran would allow a pair of runs on Bobby Witt's two-out single following a walk and a Carlos Santana error. However, Duran would coax a game-ending groundout from Vinnie Pasquantino, earning his ninth save in as many chances to open the year. While he's been a bit shaky of late, Duran's now gone five appearances (4.1 innings) without allowing an earned run. His ERA is down to 3.21 with a 1.21 WHIP despite him averaging just 8.36 K/9, down from his career mark of 11.63. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Alex Bregman wallops two-run homer to defeat M’s
Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Thursday, powering the Astros to a 4-0 victory over the Mariners.

Advice: Bregman broke up a scoreless stalemate with a fourth-inning shot -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- to left field off Mariners ace Logan Gilbert. He also tripled and scored a run in the sixth inning to cap off a multi-hit performance. The 30-year-old impending free agent has gone deep twice in his last three games since being dropped to the fifth spot in Houston’s lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm

    • Duran picks up ninth save Thursday
Jhoan Duran allowed two runs (none earned) and picked up the save against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: The save was Duran’s ninth of the year. A missed catch error on first baseman Carlos Santana made the two runs that scored on Bobby Witt Jr.’s single unearned. With nine saves already, Duran remains perfect in save opportunities this year. He has rewarded patient fantasy managers that drafted the closer who was injured to begin the season.
