• Swipes ninth bag
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Hitting leadoff against Washington lefty MacKenzie Gore, Lindor got right back up after seeing an 11-game hitting streak snapped Sunday. The veteran shortstop has swiped three bags in the last five contests, giving him nine steals on the season, and over his last 15 games he's slashing .339/.397/.516 with five doubles, two homers, seven runs and eight RBI as he puts a sluggish start to the season behind him. • Launches sixth homer
Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: The 25-year-old crushed a Grayson Rodriguez slider in the fourth inning, sending it over the fence in straightaway center field with an exit velocity of 109.2 mph. Guerrero is beginning to flash a little more power -- over his last 11 games, he has three doubles and two of his six homers on the year -- but he's been making plenty of hard contact, slashing .367/.452/.495 since the beginning of May with 16 RBI and 16 runs in 28 contests. • Jesse Winker drives in three runs in loss to Mets
Jesse Winker went 3-for-4 with three RBI on Monday in the Nationals’ loss to the Mets.

Advice: Winker reached base safely in four of his five plate appearances and wound up plating three runs courtesy of a pair of run-scoring singles and a bases-loaded free pass. The 30-year-old has really turned it on of late, batting .292/.386/.458 with two homers and five steals over his last 15 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm

  • Vlad Jr. hits sixth home run Monday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Guerrero Jr.'s sixth of the season. He was back at first base after playing third base on Sunday. It would boost his fantasy value to add third base eligibility, but he’ll need a few more appearances at the hot corner for that. Guerrero Jr.'s average is up to .295 with an .808 OPS on the season. • Likely to pitch Tuesday
Francis (forearm) is likely to be activated from the 15-day injured list and pitch in some capacity Tuesday versus the Orioles, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Whether it's as a traditional starter or bulk reliever is not yet clear, but it sounds like Francis will be in line to serve as the Blue Jays' primary pitcher. He's expected to be available to pitch four innings and/or 60 pitches. Francis has been out since late April with forearm tendinitis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:53 pm

  • Report: Tucupita Marcano faces gambling ban
Tucupita Marcano could receive a lifetime ban from MLB for betting on baseball, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports.

Advice: That’d be awfully unfortunate for Marcano, a 24-year-old who has been out since last August due to a torn ACL and was slated to resume playing in minor league games sometime soon. Marcano hit .217/.269/.320 in 447 at-bats for the Padres and Pirates from 2021-23. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:15 pm

  • Facing possible ban for gambling
Major League Baseball is currently investigating Marcano (knee) for a violation of the sport's gambling policy, which could result in a lifetime ban, Jared Diamond and Lindsey Adler of The Wall Street Journal Report report.

Advice: According to the report, four other minor-league players are under investigation along with Marcano, a 24-year-old infielder who has been on the Padres' 10-day injured list all season while he completes his recovery from a torn ACL. Per Jeff Passan of ESPN.com, while MLB's investigation isn't yet complete, a penalty for Marcano could be imposed in the coming days. Marcano has seen big-league action in each of the previous three seasons as a member of the Padres and Pirates, slashing .217/.269/.320 with five home runs and seven stolen bases across 447 career plate appearances. • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. playing third base Sunday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is playing third base and hitting third Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: It’s the first time Guerrero Jr. has drawn a start at third base since 2019. The 25-year-old has been working at the position during pregame festivities all season, but now he has a chance to man the hot corner for real. This will be interesting to watch, and it’d obviously be a major boon to his fantasy profile if he can get enough games at the position to qualify. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:49 am
  • Picks up third win Saturday
Kelly (3-2) picked up the win over Atlanta on Saturday, firing a scoreless inning during which he issued two walks and uncorked a wild pitch.

Advice: Kelly's somewhat unorthodox line was befitting of the wild game it occurred in, but the veteran ultimately emerged with his third win of the season. Kelly came in to record the final out of the sixth with Jarred Kelenic on third and the Athletics clinging to a one-run lead, but he then handed Scott Alexander a two-on, two-out jam in next frame that the latter was able to wiggle out of to keep Kelly as the pitcher of record. Kelly has now turned in scoreless efforts in seven of his last eight appearances, bringing his ERA (2.59) down to its lowest point since April 20. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:49 am
