    • Giving way to Haniger on Wednesday
Garver is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Garver and Mitch Haniger seem to have settled into a timeshare at the designated hitter spot of late, and it'll be the latter's turn to start Wednesday after Garver was included in the lineup for Tuesday's 8-5 win. The Mariners should have room for both players in the starting nine versus left-handed pitching, but neither of the two appears to be locked into a full-time role versus righties at the moment. • Goes yard again versus Texas
Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The veteran outfielder took Michael Lorenzen deep in the sixth inning, helping the Mets roar back from an early 6-2 deficit. Nimmo has gone yard in back-to-back games, and he's slashing .328/.381/.517 over 14 contests in June as he climbs out of an early-season hole. Despite the surge, his .766 OPS so far in 2024 would be Nimmo's lowest mark since his 32-game big-league debut in 2016. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:49 am
    • Three more hits Tuesday
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The Mets' offense has suddenly roared to life, scoring 52 runs over the course of a seven-game win streak, and it's perhaps no coincidence that Alvarez returned from his thumb injury the day before the streak started. The 22-year-old backstop has delivered back-to-back three-hit performances, boosting his slash line on the season to .269/.305/.372 through 24 contests with a homer, nine runs and 14 RBI. • Productive in Tuesday's win
Garver went 2-for-5 with an RBI fielder's choice, a run-scoring double and another two-bagger in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Garver pushed the Mariners' lead to 4-1 in the third inning with his first two-bagger of the night, which plated Cal Raleigh. The former would eventually lace another double, but his second RBI came on his seventh-inning groundout that brought home Ty France. Garver is still sitting on a profoundly disappointing .179 average but has driven in 13 runs over his last 13 games. That's a stretch in which he's laced eight of his 10 hits for extra bases while posting a .294 average and .929 OPS across 20 plate appearances with men in scoring position. • Remains out Wednesday
Friedl (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: He'll take a seat for the second day in a row while he recovers from a tight hamstring, which he sustained while making a diving catch in the fifth inning of Monday's 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh. The Reds seem to be viewing Friedl as day-to-day, but a trip to the injured list could become more realistic if he isn't ready to play coming out of Thursday's off day. Friedl's absence Wednesday will open up a spot in the outfield for Stuart Fairchild. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:31 am

    • Breaks out of slump
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single during Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Lowe has been slow to reacclimate at the plate following his IL stint in late May, entering Tuesday's game 2-for-24 with 12 strikeouts since being activated June 5. However, he showed signs of life against the Twins, launching his third home run of the season and generating his third multi-hit game in 24 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:28 am

    • Tallies third homer
Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Hayes tallied the Pirates' only run with a solo home run in the seventh inning -- his third of the season. The performance also extended his hitting streak to a modest five games, though he has no multi-hit performances in that span to go along with only two RBI and two runs scored. Hayes has a disappointing .084 ISO across 215 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:59 pm

    • Ke’Bryan Hayes homers in loss
Ke’Bryan Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Hayes was the only one to get to Nick Lodolo on the day, hitting a 382-foot shot for his third home run on the season. The 27-year-old has not had the breakout season many were hoping for, but he is hitting .250 with two home runs and four steals in 14 games in June, so he has been putting together decent fantasy value. He makes a lot of contact and is likely headed to his third straight double-digit stolen base season, but the power may never develop with any consistency. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:09 pm

    • Albies triples, drives in one in win over Tigers
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Albies hit his first triple of the season in the first inning to drive home Jared Kelenic. His RBI would be one of two the Braves would drive in on the evening in what turned into an unexpected pitching duel on the evening. Like many of his teammates, Albies has struggled at the plate this month, slashing .209/.229/.418, despite having nine extra base hits. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:03 pm
