      Advice: The Brewers were down 3-1 in the sixth inning when Hoskins turned the game around with his grand slam to left field. The big blast snapped a 15-game homerless drought for the slugger, during which he batted just .170 with 22 strikeouts over 53 at-bats.       Rhys Hoskins hit his third career grand slam Monday to lead the Brewers to a 6-3 win over the Rangers.

      Advice: His previous slams came with the Phillies in 2019 and 2022. Hoskins has 11 homers through 57 games this season, though he had been without one since June 3.       Oneil Cruz went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday in the Pirates’ lopsided defeat at the hands of the Reds.

      Advice: Cruz was one of the few bright spots for Pittsburgh in this one as he drove in a run with a fifth-inning ground out before slugging a gargantuan 458-foot moonshot — his 11th big fly of the season — a couple frames later off Reds reliever Fernando Cruz. The 25-year-old shortstop has been scuffling at the dish in recent weeks, batting .216 (25-for-116) with four homers and three steals over his last 30 games. He’s also struck out a whopping 40 times during that span. The flashes of dynamic game-changing talent are still there on occasion, but Cruz remains a bit of a work in progress at the moment.       Jarren Duran went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI against the Blue Jays on Monday.

      Advice: Duran capped off the Red Sox’ comeback with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth that scored Ceddanne Rafaela.       McCormick went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Sunday against the Orioles.

      Advice: McCormick's line isn't notable, but Sunday marked his third start in Houston's last four games against a right-handed pitcher. He had previously been losing playing time against righties to Trey Cabbage and Mauricio Dubon, but the absence of Kyle Tucker (shin) and lack of production from Jake Meyers have opened up playing time for McCormick.       Advice: Cruz made plenty of highlights Saturday by blasting a home run into the Allegheny River, but he's slumped with only two hits across 19 at-bats during Pittsburgh's current homestand. He did manage to tally his sixth stolen base of the season Sunday, his first since returning from ankle soreness that caused him to miss games on June 14th and 15th.       Advice: The story of the game was the return of Max Scherzer to the mound, but Langford also contributed to the Rangers' fourth straight win. His fourth-inning double plated Texas' first run and he came home on Leody Taveras' two-run single.
