    • George Kirby logs quality start in loss to O’s
George Kirby logged a quality start in Tuesday night’s loss to the Orioles, giving up two runs on seven hits over his 6 1/3 innings.

Advice: Kirby struck out five batters on the evening while issuing only one free pass. The Orioles scratched out a run against him in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Anthony Santander. They added another in the seventh inning on a one-out RBI single by Cedric Mullins — the final batter Kirby would face. Kirby piled up 14 swings and misses on 95 pitches in the ballgame — 11 on his heater — while posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll bring a 3.32 ERA, pristine 0.98 WHIP and a 101/10 K/BB ratio (105 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:15 pm
    • Bested in pitching duel
Kirby (7-6) allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 6.1 innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Kirby's gone seven starts in a row without allowing more than two runs, but he didn't get any run support Tuesday. The Mariners mustered two hits and four walks but couldn't scrape together a run, leaving Kirby to take his first loss since May 24. The right-hander continues to give his team a chance to win, maintaining a 3.32 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 101:10 K:BB across 105.2 innings through 18 starts this year. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:49 pm
    • Rhys Hoskins leads Brewers past Rockies on Tuesday
Rhys Hoskins drew a go-ahead bases-loaded walk with two outs in the ninth inning on Tuesday night, leading the Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Hoskins entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Jake Bauers in the eighth inning where he went down on strikes. He atoned for that failure in the ninth inning though, working a walk off of Justin Lawrence to drive in the go-ahead run. On the season, the 31-year-old slugger is hitting .224/.318/.404 with 11 homers, 38 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Homers in loss
Burger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday' 8-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Burger hit a solo home run in the fifth inning and added a single in the ninth. The 28-year-old hit .213 in both May and June but does have two multi-hit efforts and two home runs in his past five games. On the season, he is hitting .221 with eight home runs, 28 RBI and 25 runs scored through 259 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm

    • Homers, steals in win
Duran went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole second base in the second inning and hit a solo home run in the eighth. The outfielder continued his torrid stretch, hitting safely in 18 of his past 19 games and homering in three straight. On the season, he is hitting .287 with 10 home runs, 40 RBI, 58 runs scored and 21 steals in what has been one of the biggest breakouts of 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:30 pm
    • Jarren Duran fillets Marlins with homer plus steal
Jarren Duran homered and also stole a base on Tuesday, leading the Red Sox to an 8-3 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole a base -- his 21st theft of the season -- in the second inning before walloping a gargantuan 433-foot blast to left field -- his 10th round-tripper of the season -- off Marlins reliever JT Chargois in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old speedster has put together arguably the most impressive first-half breakout performance of any player in the fantasy landscape, batting .287/.351/.497 with 43 extra-base hits, including 10 triples and 10 homers, in addition to 21 stolen bases. He’s rapidly evolving into a five-category fantasy superstar and rewarding fantasy managers that have exercised extreme patience over the last few years as he continued to develop at the highest level. • Jake Burger tallies two hits, homers in losing effort
Jake Burger went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Tuesday in the Marlins’ loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Burger was one of the few bright spots in this one as his fifth-inning solo shot off Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford was one of just three hits for Miami through six innings. The 28-year-old slugger has homered twice in his last five games and is now up to eight big flies on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:15 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Hoskins isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: After recording a base hit in 10 of his last 11 games, Hoskins went 0-for-4 with a sacrifice fly during Monday's loss in the series opener. He'll now sit against Ryan Feltner and the Rockies on Tuesday, putting Jake Bauers at first base while Christian Yelich serves as the Brewers' DH, opening a spot in left field for Jackson Chourio. • Remaining out Tuesday
Garver (wrist) isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver will get an extra day to recover Tuesday after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch during Sunday's loss to Minnesota. His absence will allow Mitch Haniger to serve as Seattle's designated hitter while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm
