    • Steven Kwan (hamstring) takes BP on Friday
Steven Kwan (hamstring) took batting practice on Friday.

Advice: Kwan has resumed baseball activities and is progressing well, according to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt. The 26-year-old contact-oriented outfielder remains without a firm return timetable, but it sounds like he could return to Cleveland’s lineup before the end of the month following a minor league rehab assignment. • Participates in batting practice
Kwan (hamstring) participated in batting practice Friday for the first time since he went on the injured list, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Advice: "He's progressing well," manager Stephen Vogt said before Friday's series opener against Minnesota. "Still don't have a timetable, but the fact that he's already back to baseball activity is a good sign. He's feeling well and been running relatively pain-free, so he's on a good track." Kwan was initially given a four-week timeline when he went on the injured list, so it's encouraging that he's resumed baseball activities halfway through that expected absence. The Guardians are likely to take things cautiously with Kwan given his history of hamstring issues, so it's unclear when he might be able to go out on a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 10:09 am

    • Homers, draws three walks Friday
Judge went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, an additional run and three walks in Friday's 4-2 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Judge belted a 433-solo shot to left field in the first inning to plate the first run of the game. Chicago pitchers didn't bother with him thereafter, walking the slugger in each of his remaining three plate appearances, with one of the free passes being intentional. After a subpar start to the season, Judge has turned things around of late, slashing .475/.604/1.150 with six homers, nine doubles, 12 RBI, 14 runs and a 12:7 BB:K over his past 12 contests. • Aaron Judge homers again in win
Aaron Judge went 1-for-1 with a solo home run and three walks in a win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Judge has been retired just once in three games as his scalding hot streak continues. He has six home runs in his last 46 at-bats and his .981 OPS is suddenly sixth among all qualified hitters. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm

    • Sent to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Outman to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Advice: After a successful 2023 campaign, Outman has struggled mightily to begin 2024, slashing just .147/.250/.266 across 124 plate appearances. He'll now look to get back on track in the minors, though a significant turnaround would likely be required before the Dodgers consider calling him back up. Outman's demotion likely spells consistent playing time in center field for Andy Pages and clears a roster spot for Jason Heyward (back) to return from the injured list. • Dodgers option James Outman to Triple-A OKC
Dodgers optioned OF James Outman to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: With Jason Heyward returning on Friday night, something had to give in the Dodgers’ outfield and Andy Pages was simply hitting too well to be sent down. That left Outman — who was slashing just .147/.250/.266 with three homers, 10 RBI and a pair of swipes — as the odd-man out this time around. He’ll look to get his season back on track at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:00 pm

    • Not starting against Toronto
Siri is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Siri started in five of the previous seven matchups for Tampa Bay, but he's struggled to get his bat going this season with a slash line of .174/.264/.294 and 38.9 percent strikeout rate. Jonny DeLuca will receive the start in center field Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm

    • Aaron Judge doubles twice in victory over Twins
Aaron Judge doubled twice on Thursday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins.

Advice: Judge scalded a pair of doubles in this one that carried exit velocities over 108 mph and traveled over 400 feet, but wound up staying in the yard at spacious Target Field in Minnesota. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances in the one-sided affair. The 32-year-old former AL MVP has rebounded from a frosty start at the dish this season, batting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and nine doubles in 14 contests since the start of May. • Monster day at plate
Judge went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, three doubles, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Twins.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring with his first-inning solo shot and added an RBI double in the seventh. The outfielder has locked in with power over his last 10 games, going 16-for-36 (.444) with five homers, seven doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in that span. He was batting .207 at the end of April, but he's up to a .255/.386/.540 slash line with 11 homers, 29 RBI, 24 runs scored two stolen bases and 13 doubles over 44 contests. Judge has clearly bounced back after the slow start, and getting him in a groove makes the Yankees' already-strong offense even more dangerous. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:30 pm
