      Advice: Duran kept the Athletics off the board in the ninth and 10th frames as the Twins eventually delivered the walk-off win. He's 2-0 with a hold over his last three outings since coughing up three runs against the Pirates on June 8. The 26-year-old righty has not picked up a save since June 2.       Jhoan Duran picked up his second victory of the season on Friday evening, working two scoreless innings against the Athletics.

      Advice: Duran came on to work the top half of the ninth inning in a tied game and kept the A’s off the board. He then returned for the 10th inning and retired the side in order, setting the stage for Max Kepler’s heroics.     • Racks up 13 strikeouts Thursday
      Crochet allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Thursday.

      Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant in the outing, inducing 24 swinging strikes and finishing with a career-high 13 punchouts. The only run against the southpaw came via Tyler Locklear's first career homer in the fifth inning, and Crochet was in line for the victory before Michael Kopech blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Despite a few rough starts in April, Crochet has been a revelation for the White Sox and for fantasy managers this season. Over his past nine starts, he's recorded a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB over 53 innings. Crochet is tied with Tyler Glasnow for the major-league lead with 116 punchouts on the campaign.       McArthur (3-3) allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the win over the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: McArthur rebounded from his previous outing, which saw him take the loss versus the Mariners on Sunday after allowing three runs (two earned) in two-thirds of an inning. He's kept runs off the board in four of his five outings in June, but he has just one save this month.     • Garrett Crochet weaves gem with 13 strikeouts
      Garrett Crochet struck out 13 batters over seven innings of one-run baseball but didn’t pick up a decision Thursday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant while taking advantage of a team that strikes out at an enormous rate, so the results are equally impressive and not surprising. He did allow a solo homer to Tyler Locklear, but outside of that and a Victor Robles double, it was smooth sailing for the 24-year-old. The 13 punchouts are a season-high, but this is a hurler who has already fanned 116 batters in just-under 83 innings with a 3.16 ERA.     • Reynaldo López shuts out Orioles for six in win
      Reynaldo López shut out the Orioles for six innings, striking out eight, in the Braves’ 6-3 win Thursday.

      Advice: López left with a four-run lead, which was fortunate since Pierce Johnson gave up a three-run homer in the seventh. It’s just the fourth victory for López, even though he’s allowed three runs or fewer in all 12 of his starts.       Lopez (4-2) earned the win Thursday, allowing no runs on two hits and a walk over six innings against the Orioles. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Lopez allowed only three baserunners on the day, never more than one in an inning, and matched a season-high with eight strikeouts. The right-hander now has eight quality starts while never allowing more than three runs in an outing and allowing two runs or less in 11 of his 12 starts. Lopez will carry a league-leading 1.69 ERA into his next turn through the rotation, which is currently scheduled to take place early next week versus Detroit. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:13 pm

      Pivetta did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks with four strikeouts over four innings.

      Advice: It was a rough night from the start, as Pivetta allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base and surrendered two runs in each of the first and third innings. The four walks were a season high, and he allowed at least one baserunner in every inning. Pivetta has been inconsistent this season, with six starts of two or fewer earned runs and three starts yielding five.
