    • Goes six innings in loss
Keller (8-4) was charged with the loss after he allowed four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts over six innings Thursday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Keller's four earned runs allowed tied for a season high, but he still managed to extend a streak of seven straight starts of at least six innings. He gave up a homers to Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan, making it the first time this season he's allowed multiple long balls in a game. The 28-year-old has a 3.36 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 78:22 K:BB across 85.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:15 pm
    • Mitch Keller gives up first homers in five weeks
Mitch Keller lost to the Cardinals after giving up four runs in six innings Thursday.

Advice: Keller had gone five straight starts without allowing a homer and hadn’t yielded more than one in any outing this season, but both Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan left the yard against him today. It’s the first time he’s given up more than two runs since Apr. 30. He’s now 8-4 with a 3.36 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:57 pm
    • Toughs out five scoreless frames
Bassitt gave up five hits and four walks over five scoreless innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Brewers. He struck out five.

Advice: It didn't come easy for Bassitt, as he had to contend with the bases loaded in both the first and fourth innings, though he'd manage to escape unscathed. After a shaky start to the year, the 35-year-old Bassitt's been solid since the start of May, pitching to a 2.25 ERA over his last eight outings. Overall, he's 6-6 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 75:32 K:BB across 78.1 innings this season. Bassitt is currently in line to face the Red Sox at home in his next outing. • Chris Bassitt settles for no-decision vs. Brewers
Chris Bassitt hurled five shutout innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Brewers.

Advice: Bassitt departed in line for the win after striking out five and scattering five hits and four walks over five frames, but Toronto’s bullpen was unable to hold on. The 35-year-old veteran righty has been on a roll over the last few weeks, allowing three earned runs or fewer in eight consecutive starts since May 1. He’ll bring a solid 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 75/32 K/BB ratio across 78 1/3 innings (14 starts) into a favorable matchup on Tuesday against the Red Sox in Toronto. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:56 pm

    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) throws bullpen on Tuesday
Zac Gallen (hamstring) threw a 31-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s an encouraging development that Gallen has progressed to throwing side sessions after resuming throwing over the weekend without any issues. The 28-year-old workhorse landed on the injured list back in late May with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain and is expected to miss at least a few weeks. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told reporters Gallen will throw another bullpen session on Friday and will likely need at least one or two simulated games before returning. Rotoworld Tuesday, 4:07 pm

    • Works off mound
Gallen (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Gallen began throwing off flat ground Saturday, and Tuesday marks the first time he's thrown off a mound since landing on the IL with a strained right hamstring. Manager Torey Lovullo said the 28-year-old righty is slated for another bullpen session Friday, after which he will likely progress to pitching sim games before returning to Arizona's rotation. • Goes seven strong to earn win
Eovaldi (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

Advice: Eovaldi was staked to a 5-0 lead after two innings and cruised through seven, merely allowing single runs in each of the third and fourth innings as he rolled to his third victory. More importantly, he was also extended to near his full workload, completing seven innings on 90 pitches after tossing 37 and 71 in his previous two starts following a nearly four-week stint on the IL with a groin injury. It was the seventh start out of 10 for Eovaldi with at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place next weekend when the Rangers travel to Seattle for a showdown against the Mariners. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:39 pm
    • Eovaldi looks solid in win over Giants
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Eovaldi also struck out five and walked one on the day. He pounded the zone regularly on the day with a 37 percent CSW and 24 percent whiff rate and his only real mistake was a solo home run to Mike Yastrzemski. The veteran will take a 2.68 ERA into a good start against the Mariners next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:30 pm
    • Throws on flat ground, bullpen next
Gallen (hamstring) threw a flat-ground session Saturday and is expected to throw a bullpen session soon, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen was cleared for throwing June 3 and was able to complete a flat-ground session Saturday. The next box for Gallen to check in his recovery from a right hamstring strain would be a bullpen session, which should occur in the coming days. Gallen will be eligible to return from the 15-day injured list June 15, though it's unclear if he'll be ready to join the big club by then. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:18 pm
