    • Jackson Merrill powers Padres past Brewers
Jackson Merrill went 3-for-3, drew a walk and clobbered a three-run homer on Saturday, powering the Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers in San Diego.

Advice: Merrill smacked a one-out single off of Carlos Rodriguez in the second inning, but was ultimately stranded at third base. The 21-year-old outfielder then broke a scoreless tie with his mammoth 440-foot (105.9 mph EV) three-run blast to center field in the fourth inning. He also singled in the sixth. With his three-hit attack, Merrill is now slashing a robust .290/.327/.444 with 10 homers, 35 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Ha-Seong Kim goes deep in victory over Brewers
Ha-Seong Kim crushed his 10th home run of the season as the Padres triumphed over the Brewers on Saturday evening in San Diego.

Advice: Kim tagged rookie right-hander Carlos Rodriguez for his two-out, 374-foot (97.5 mph EV) solo shot in the fourth inning — extending the Padres’ advantage to 4-0. Kim also singled and rode home on Kyle Higashioka’s two-run blast in the seventh inning, finishing the night 2-for-3. For the season, the slick-fielding 28-year-old is now hitting .220/.331/.390 with 10 long balls, 36 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

    • Duran has two hits, robs home run in win Saturday
Jarren Duran went 2-for-4 with a run scored against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Duran won this game for Boston. He singled in the eighth inning and came around to score the go-ahead run. Then in a one-run game in the ninth inning, Duran robbed what would’ve been a home run off the bat of Stuart Fairchild. Duran is hitting .283 with an .826 OPS on the season. • Brandon Lowe suffers broken pinkie toe on Saturday
Brandon Lowe suffered a broken right pinkie toe when he was hit by a pitch during Saturday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like Lowe should require a trip to the injured list. There’s nothing that you can really do about a broken toe, it’s more of a pain tolerance thing than anything. Expect him to miss a game or two — and perhaps be less active on the basepaths — but it shouldn’t lead to an extended absence for the 29-year-old slugger. Rotoworld Today, 4:07 pm

    • Suffers broken toe
Lowe suffered a broken pinky toe during Saturday's game against the Pirates, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Lowe was hit by a pitch in the first inning of the contest and was removed in the sixth frame with what was initially deemed a right foot contusion. However, further evaluation showed that Lowe actually sustained a broken toe. Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Lowe isn't expected to require an IL stint at this point. • Yordan Alvarez homers as Astros top Orioles
Yordan Alvarez hit a two-run homer to help the Astros defeat the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez hit his 16th homer of the season when he connected on an offering from Corbin Burnes. The pair of RBI gives the 26-year-old slugger 41 on the season. Alvarez remains one of the best power threats in baseball and that’s not going to change any time soon. Rotoworld Today, 3:31 pm

    • Jordan Westburg homers in loss to Astros
Jordan Westburg connected on a solo homer in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Westburg’s homer accounted for the only run of the game for the Orioles; a solo shot in the second off Ronel Blanco. The 25-year-old has put together a solid first half with 12 homers, 36 RBI and .837 OPS over his 267 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 3:31 pm

    • Brandon Lowe leaves game with foot contusion
Brandon Lowe was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Pirates with a right foot contusion.

Advice: It’s unclear exactly when the injury occurred, but Lowe was lifted from Saturday’s game just before his at-bat in the fifth inning. He should be considered day-to-day, but given his extensive injury history, you just never know how much time Lowe will need before he’s able to return to the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 pm

    • Has bruised right foot
Lowe (foot) was removed from Saturday's game against the Pirates with a right foot contusion, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Isaac Paredes came in for Lowe in the sixth inning after Lowe sustained a right foot injury stemming from a first-inning hit-by-pitch. While the injury seems relatively minor, Lowe should continue to be evaluated ahead of Sunday's series finale. Rotowire.com Today, 2:39 pm
