    • Connects for home run
Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two total RBI in Tuesday's 6-3, 10-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch connected for his eighth home run of the season in the third inning, but it was only his second of the month as he's slowed down some after a hot start. Across 23 games in May, the first baseman is batting just .206 after hitting .266 in March and April. Busch should hold onto a regular role, though the Cubs have some other lineup options if they decide to mix things up. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:42 pm

    • Michael Busch homers, drives in two in win
Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch got the scoring started for the Cubs in the third when he blasted a solo homer 434 feet to center field. The homer marked Busch’s eighth of the season and his first since May 7th. Busch has hit just two homers since his five-game home run streak ended on April 16th, and he’s hitting just .206/.316/.382 this month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm

    • Michael Busch sits for second straight game
Michael Busch is not in the Cubs’ lineup on Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: With the Brewers throwing a left-handed pitcher, Busch will find himself on the bench; however, he was also on the bench on Sunday. The rookie is hitting 12-for-64 (.188) in May with one home run and a 39.2 percent strikeout rate. If he doesn’t start picking it up soon, it’s fair to wonder how much longer the Cubs will keep him in the starting lineup. Patrick Wisdom will get the start on Monday and has now started three games in a row. He’d likely benefit the most from a decision to dial back on Busch’s playing time. • Not starting Sunday
Busch is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Even with right-hander Sonny Gray taking the mound for the Cardinals on Sunday, the lefty-hitting Busch will begin the series finale in the dugout. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base in Busch's stead and will bat eighth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:49 pm

    • Puts game out of reach
Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Harper hit an RBI single in the first inning and added a three-run homer in the ninth that gave the Phillies all the offense they needed in the win. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 16-for-46 (.348) with four homers and 12 RBI in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is up to a .282/.389/.554 slash line with 13 homers, 41 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and nine doubles over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:07 pm
    • Harper blasts 13th home run Saturday
Bryce Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: The Phillies trailed by a run entering the ninth inning and exploded with five runs. The big blow was a two-out three-run home run to the opposite field by Harper. It was his 13th home run of the season and he’s now up to 41 RBI.

    • Triston Casas on track to start swinging next week
Triston Casas (rib) told reporters Saturday that he’s on track to resume swinging a bat next week.

Advice: Casas has been on the shelf, and unable to resume hitting at all, since suffering torn cartilage in his left rib cage back in mid-April. The 24-year-old slugger doesn’t have a firm return timetable yet, but the fact that he’ll resume swinging soon provides some optimism that he’ll be ready to return when first eligible on June 21. • Taking grounders
Casas (ribs) took grounders at first base Friday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Casas began throwing during Boston's previous homestand and has also been running and lifting. The next step for Casas will be swinging a bat, which requires rotation and puts more stress on the ribs and torso. No target date has been set for that yet. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:09 am

    • Bryce Harper ejected for arguing balls and strikes
Bryce Harper was ejected from Friday’s game against the Rockies in the first inning after arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Harper went down swinging on three pitches in his first at-bat against Ty Blach and took exception to the second pitch that was called a strike. He’ll catch the rest of Friday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Friday, 5:52 pm
