    Kelly went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Detroit sputtered on the mound and at the plate, but Kelly still had a solid performance. The backstop was making his first appearance in three days, pushing Jake Rogers to the bench in the process. Kelly and Rogers are splitting time behind the plate fairly evenly so far this season, though Kelly has been the better offensive option overall with a .711 OPS, compared to just .603 for Rogers.     Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a stolen base and two walks in Monday's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay.

    Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins.

    Advice: Perez’ home run was his 11th of the season and second in the month of June. Perez has cooled off this month. He’s 11-for-70 (.157) in June with two home runs and five RBI.   • Cal Raleigh homers, steals base in loss to Rays
    Cal Raleigh belted a solo homer and also stole a base on Monday in the Mariners’ loss to the Rays.

    Advice: The aptly named “Big Dumper” isn’t exactly known for his stolen base prowess, but he’s flashes strong instincts on the bases throughout his career, and is now up to three thefts on the year. He connected for a fourth-inning solo shot off Rays starter Taj Bradley for his 13th long ball of the year.   • Drawing start at DH on Monday
    Fry (elbow) will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Orioles.

    Advice: Fry's status heading into the series opener in Baltimore was somewhat murky after he was forced out of Sunday's 6-5 win over Toronto with right elbow inflammation, but the 29-year-old is apparently feeling well enough to stick in the lineup Monday in a non-defensive role. Once the elbow issue fully subsides, expect Fry to mix in behind the plate and in the corner outfield along with at DH as the Guardians make a concerted effort to keep his productive bat in the lineup.     Rice went 2-for-3 in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

    Advice: Rice was one of two Yankees with multiple hits in the contest, and it was the first multi-hit effort of his career. The 25-year-old started at first base for the fifth time in six contests since being called up, and three of those games have been against left-handed starters, against whom he's gone just 1-for-9. Rice has otherwise held his own overall in going 5-for-17 with a 3:3 BB:K, but he'll likely begin yielding some starts against southpaws to J.D. Davis, whom the Yankees acquired Sunday.     David Fry is considered day-to-day after exiting Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with inflammation in his right elbow.

    Advice: It sounds like it’s just a minor issue and the 28-year-old slugger won’t require a trip to the injured list. While his pace has cooled over the last few weeks, Fry has still been a force in the middle of the Guardians’ lineup this season — slashing .312/.429/.526 with eight homers, 31 RBI and four stolen bases in only 189 plate appearances.
