    Bielak (1-0) picked up the win in an extra-innings victory over the Rockies on Thursday, allowing a hit and a walk over one-third of an inning. He struck out one.

    Advice: Bielak came into the game with runners at the corners and two outs in the top of the 11th, and after allowing a bases-clearing Brendan Rodgers double and issuing a walk to Kris Bryant, he was able to strike out Jordan Beck to end the inning. That set the stage for the unlikeliest of victories, as the Athletics mounted a five-run rally in the home half of the frame to walk it off. Bielak, who was just acquired via trade from the Astros on May 16, has allowed two earned runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings across three appearances since his arrival, and despite Thursday's brief outing, he's likeliest to log multi-inning assignments out of the bullpen.     Advice: Boyle's final line encapsulates how forgettable his 26-pitch outing went, with the right-hander locating only half of those offerings for strikes before getting the hook. The one silver lining appears to be that Boyle didn't have any residual physical issues, but given the on-field results, he'll almost certainly draw another start for the Aviators before activation is considered.     Braves recalled LHP Ray Kerr from Triple-A Gwinnett.

    Advice: Kerr will start Friday night’s game against the Pirates. The 29-year-old left-hander has a 2.89 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in four appearances out of the bullpen with Atlanta this season.     Advice: The left-hander was optioned to Gwinnett following Monday's twin bill against the Padres but will be allowed to quickly rejoin the big club as AJ Smith-Shawver (oblique) lands on the injured list. Kerr's four appearances for Atlanta this season have all come out of the bullpen, but he's pitched well with a 2.89 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 10:0 K:BB across 9.1 innings. It's not clear at this point how long he might be sidelined, but oblique strains generally require longer than a minimum stay on the IL.
