• Slight chance at 2024 return
Graveman (shoulder) is in the middle of a throwing program and has a chance at returning in September, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Graveman underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and clean up his rotator cuff January 10 and was expected to miss the entirety of the 2024 campaign. However, he's been participating in a throwing program and hasn't ruled out a return late in the regular season. Still, Graveman has plenty of steps to complete before reaching that point. He made his first rehab outing in the rookie-level FCL on Monday, when he gave up three runs on one hit and two walks over 1.1 innings. Burrows is expected to start for Bradenton early next week. • Throwing off mound Saturday
McCullers (shoulder) is scheduled Saturday to throw 25 warmup pitches and then take a break to mimic a half-inning before throwing more pitches, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Saturday's session will be McCullers' first up-down since undergoing surgery last June. He's expected to simulate one more up-down before the Astros consider having McCullers face hitters. For now, McCullers is on track for an August return. Rotowire.com Today, 3:59 pm
  • Kendall Graveman (shoulder) could return in 2024
Kendall Graveman (shoulder) told reporters on Friday that he’s in the middle of a throwing program and there’s at least an outside chance that he could return before the 2024 season concludes.

Advice: Graveman underwent surgery in mid-January to repair a torn labrum and clean up the rotator cuff in his right shoulder. The initial expectation was that he would miss the entire 2024 season — and that’s still the most likely scenario — but if everything goes according to plan and he suffers no setbacks along the way, there’s a chance Graveman could return at some point in September. • Marlins outright Kent Emanuel to Triple-A
Marlins sent LHP Kent Emanuel outright to Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: The 32-year-old left-hander had been designated for assignment on Wednesday, but he passed through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as extra bullpen depth for the Marlins. • Yankees recall Yoendrys Gomez from Triple-A
Yankees recalled RHP Yoendrys Gomez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: The 24-year-old hurler has made just one appearance with the Yankees this season — striking out all three hitters that he faced in emphatic fashion. He has also impressed at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he posted a 3.13 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 54/26 K/BB ratio over 46 innings in his 12 starts. He’ll add length to a Yankees’ bullpen that has been overworked recently. Rotoworld Today, 3:45 pm
  • Reinstated from IL
Junis (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Advice: After making the Brewers' rotation to start the season, Junis only made one start before being placed on the IL with a pinched nerve in his throwing shoulder. A few weeks later, his recovery was delayed after being hit in the head by a ball during batting practice. However, after two months, Junis will finally return to Milwaukee's active roster. While he threw a four-inning simulated game this week, Junis is expected to work out of the bullpen before eventually re-entering the rotation. Bradley Blalock was optioned to Double-A Biloxi in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 pm
