    • Third-straight quality start
Brown did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.

Advice: Brown allowed two solo homers, one to leadoff the game by Trevor Larnach and a blast in the sixth by Jose Miranda. Those two dingers sandwiched a second inning run-scoring double by Alex Kirilloff to represent the three tallies against Brown. The sixth-inning homer eliminated Browns chance to pick up his second win, though he did collect his third-straight quality start. While Brown's season ERA remains at 6.18, he's been much better over his last five starts, accumulating a 3.53 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 28 innings. His next start is tentatively slated for next weekend when the Astros travel to Anaheim to take on the Angels in a three-game set. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Josh Smith has two hits in win over Marlins
Josh Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Smith hasn’t gotten enough credit for the job he’s done since Josh Jung went down. The 26-year-old is hitting .287/.377/.425 with 28 runs scored, 22 RBI, three home runs, and three steals in 57 games. He’s not setting the world on fire, but he has been a really solid regular which has given him value in deeper fantasy formats. Rotoworld 7 minutes ago

    • Jorge Mateo placed in concussion protocol Sunday
Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters after Sunday’s game that Jorge Mateo is in the concussion protocol.

Advice: The 28-year-old was hit in the head by Cedric Mullins’ bat in the on-deck circle during Sunday’s contest against the Rays. He’ll have to pass through the concussion protocol before he’s able to return to game action. That’s probably going to cost him at least a couple of days, and it’s possible that he winds up on the 7-day concussion injured list. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Trevor Rogers goes six innings in loss to Rangers
Trevor Rogers allowed four runs on six hits in six innings in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: It wasn’t an awful outing for Rogers, who allowed three runs on four hits in the first inning before settling down. He threw four straight scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, before giving up a solo home run to Adolis Garcia in the sixth inning. On the day, Rogers had 12 whiffs on 44 swings for a 27 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW. The left-hander has a 5.68 ERA on the yea but could be an interesting streamer in deeper leagues against the Guardians next week. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Kyle Isbel leaves game after collision on Sunday
Kyle Isbel was pulled from Sunday afternoon’s game against the Padres with a non-concussive head and neck injury.

Advice: Isbel collided with teammate Bobby Witt and appeared to take a flying knee from the superstar shortstop right to his head. He remained in the game to finish the inning, but they ultimately thought better of it and decided to remove him. It sounds like a day-to-day type of situation, but fantasy managers should be sure to pay attention to his status over the next couple of days. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Ranger Suárez (thumb) feels much improved Sunday
Ranger Suárez (thumb) reported feeling much improved on Sunday and there’s optimism from the team that he’ll be able to make his next scheduled start.

Advice: The 28-year-old southpaw was lifted from Saturday’s start after he was hit on his pitching hand by a comebacker, but the swelling went way down overnight and he’s feeling much better already. Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson said they’ll wait a day or two before he attempts to throw, but it sounds like he’ll be able to take the hill as planned against the Mets in London next weekend. • Sean Murphy drives in go-ahead run
Sean Murphy went 1-for-3 with a run-scoring double in a 3-1 win over the Athletics on Sunday. He also walked.

Advice: Murphy delivered the big blow against his former team on Sunday as he still tries to get his feet wet this season. The double was his first extra-base hit so far in just his fifth game after straining his oblique on opening day. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Raisel Iglesias earns 15th save
Raisel Iglesias pitched a clean ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics to earn the save.

Advice: Iglesias grabbed another save, but once again did not strike a batter out. His 18.6 K% entering play Sunday is by far the lowest for any reliever with at least 10 saves and should give some concern moving forward. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago
    • Zack Gelof homers in loss
Zack Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: It’s been a season to forget so far for Gelof as injuries and poor play have dulled the shine of his tremendous rookie season. The home run was his fourth in 42 games and he has five stolen bases too, but an ugly 33.9 K% entering play on Sunday has held him back so far. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago
