    • Heading to Triple-A
The Reds optioned Young to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Advice: He'll give up his spot in the bullpen to fellow lefty Justin Wilson (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Young has spent most of the season on the IL recovering from a back injury, but after being activated last week, he made three appearances out of the Cincinnati bullpen and gave up four hits and no walks over two scoreless innings. • Returns from IL
The Reds reinstated Wilson (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Advice: After being placed on the IL on May 17 with left shoulder tightness, Wilson didn't require a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated, as the Reds were comfortable enough with how he looked over multiple bullpen sessions to bring him back on the 26-man active roster. Southpaw Alex Young was optioned to Triple-A Louisville to make room in the bullpen for WIlson. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago
    • Keynan Middleton (forearm) seeking second opinion
Keynan Middleton is seeking a second opinion on his straight right forearm.

Advice: Middleton suffered a setback in his rehab assignment, and the right-hander has undergone imaging to see the severity of the injury to his flexor strain. The 30-year-old has no timetable for a return to the St. Louis bullpen, but obviously the first opinion suggests this is a long-term issue for Middleton. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago
    • Dealing with neck stiffness
Bachman (shoulder) pulled himself from a rehab outing Thursday due to a stiff neck, per MLB.com.

Advice: Bachman is attempting to return from offseason shoulder surgery and began a rehab assignment May 25. His second appearance was slated to last two frames, but the neck issue instead limited Bachman to just two-thirds of an inning. The right-hander said he felt better the following day, but it's unclear when his next rehab outing may take place. Rotowire.com Today, 10:31 am

    • Kicks off rehab assignment
Silseth (elbow) threw three scoreless innings Friday, allowing one hit and striking out three batters, in a rehab appearance with the Angels' Arizona Complex League team.

Advice: Silseth looked good in the outing and threw 23 of his 39 pitches for strikes. The right-hander has been on the shelf since April 8 but is nearing eligibility to return from the 60-day IL. Silseth will almost certainly need at least one, and likely multiple, additional rehab starts before he's ready to be activated. With struggling Reid Detmers demoted to the minors Saturday, there is a space in the big-league rotation available for Silseth upon his return. Rotowire.com Today, 10:24 am

    • Angels bring up Ben Joyce from Double-A
Angels recalled RHP Ben Joyce from Double-A Rocket City.

Advice: Joyce is the corresponding transaction for Reid Detmers after Detmers was demoted to Triple-A by the Angels on Saturday night. Joyce has posted a mediocre 4.26 ERA in his 18 appearances with the Trash Pandas, but he has struck out 34 over 19 innings thanks in large part to his impressive 100-plus mph fastball. • Colin Poche (back) beginning rehab assignment
Colin Poche (back) is beginning a rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Poche has been on the injured list since the end of April with tightness in the middle of his back. The 30-year-old will likely make a handful of relief appearances, and if things go well, he could be back with the Rays as a late-inning option in the middle of June. • Secures first win
Webb (1-3) walked one and struck out one over 2.1 scoreless and hitless innings to earn the win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Webb has kept runs off the board over his last 5.2 innings. He was called on early Saturday as Kyle Bradish struggled over 2.2 innings, but Webb was able to set the tone as the Orioles' five relievers gave up just four baserunners over the rest of the contest. Webb is at a 2.08 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB with two saves and five holds across 26 innings this season. He continues to see some work as a setup man while also often pitching in the middle innings. Rotowire.com Today, 10:11 am
    • Adbert Alzolay (forearm) moved to 60-day IL
Cubs transferred RHP Adbert Alzolay from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Alzolay is now off the 40-man roster, and the Cubs used that space to select the contract of David Bote. Alzolay has been on the injured list since May 13 with a forearm strain, and he’s now not eligible to return to the Chicago bullpen until July 13. It’s plausible we won’t see him back much later than that date. Rotoworld Today, 10:09 am
