    • Jakob Junis set to join Brewers over weekend
Jakob Junis (shoulder, head) will join the Brewers in San Diego for their weekend series against the Padres.

Advice: It has yet to be determined whether Junis will work as a starter or as a reliever, but he’s finally ready to rejoin the team after missing more than two months with a right shoulder impingement and a head injury that he suffered when he was struck by a batted ball during batting practice. Junis has made one start for the Brewers this season, posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP while striking out four batters over his four innings of work. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago

    • Tanner Bibee strikes out career-high 12 in win
Tanner Bibee struck out 12 batters in six shutout innings on Wednesday in an 8-0 win over the Mariners. He scattered three hits and walked just one.

Advice: This was Bibee’s second straight start where he struck out double digit batters - the first two times of his career. His slider and curveball were both lethal while his fastball velocity stayed above 95 MPH and induced five swings and misses. His fastball has been hit hard this season with opposing hitters slugging .581 against it and its -14 Run Value is the lowest for any pitch single pitch in the league. Seeing it this effective is a great sign for Bibee as he looks to stay hot. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Bryan Woo yanked after four innings
Bryan Woo allowed three earned runs in four innings on Wednesday against the Guardians. He struck out one, walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was Woo’s first start in 13 days after yet another health scare and he was not sharp. It took him 30 pitches to get through the first inning and he had trouble settling in. He retired the final seven batters he faced after Steven Kwan took him deep in the second inning, but without missing many bats. He forced just five whiffs and Guardians’ hitters fouled off 22 of the 64 pitches Woo threw in this forgettable start. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Adam Kloffenstein expected to join Cards Thursday
According to Katie Woo of The Athletic, the Cardinals plan to promote Adam Kloffenstein from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday.

Advice: The 23-year-old right-hander has posted a 3.97 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 68/29 K/BB ratio over 77 innings in 14 starts at Triple-A Memphis this season. It’s unclear if he’ll actually get an opportunity to start with the Cardinals, or will function as a long man out of their bullpen while he’s up. Either way, he’s unlikely to make a major impact for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Today, 5:17 pm
    • Earns win in return to rotation
Hendricks (1-4) allowed one run on two hits across 5.2 innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Giants. He walked one and struck out eight.

Advice: Making his first start since May 17, Hendricks looked sharp, particularly with the season-high eight strikeouts. Since that last start and his shift to the bullpen, the veteran has pitched much better than earlier in the season. Hendricks now has a 2.70 ERA over his last 20 innings pitched including Wednesday's start. He figures to stick in the rotation for now, and his next appearance is tentatively set for Tuesday against the Giants again, this time on the road. Rotowire.com Today, 5:17 pm

    • Looking better lately
Wentz tossed a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts in Wednesday's loss to Atlanta, extending his streak of scoreless outings to four.

Advice: Wentz has had an up-and-down season, though he's trending upward recently. The lefty had a 1.08 ERA across his first 11 appearances, then posted a 16.00 ERA over his next six games before his current scoreless streak started. Overall, Wentz has a 5.34 ERA, and he's mostly off the fantasy radar as a low-leverage reliever despite his better results lately. Rotowire.com Today, 5:10 pm

    • Josiah Gray goes 79 pitches in latest rehab start
Josiah Gray (elbow) pitched well in Wednesday’s minor league rehab start at Double-A Harrisburg, allowing two runs on three hits over five innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander punched out five batters on the night while issuing three free passes. Gray got up to 79 pitches in the outing, and the original plan had been for him to make one additional rehab start after this one to get to around six innings or 90 pitches. Given how strong he has looked though, there’s a chance that the Nationals could opt to bring him back early. Either way, he could rejoin the Nationals’ rotation before the end of next week. • Dodgers officially place Walker Buehler on IL
Dodgers placed RHP Walker Buehler on the 15-day injured list with right hip inflammation.

Advice: Buehler was hit in the hip by a comebacker during Thursday’s bloodbath at Coors Field, so it gives the Dodgers a viable reason to stash him on the injured list for a couple of weeks while he works through some of his struggles. Buehler has pitched to a woeful 5.84 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP over 37 innings in eight starts since returning from the injured list. Bobby Miller was activated from the IL in a corresponding move on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 5:06 pm
    • Headed to majors
The Cardinals will recall Kloffenstein from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kloffenstein has spent all season with Memphis, posting a 3.97 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 77 innings across 14 starts. Although he has been used almost exclusively as a starter throughout his minor-league career, he will likely be used as a multi-inning reliever while with St. Louis. The 23-year-old righty will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game. Rotowire.com Today, 4:54 pm
