    • Logs steal in loss
Caballero went 2-for-4 with two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Caballero had gone without a steal in his last seven games, matching his longest drought of the year, which he's now done three times. He's hitting .278 (15-for-54) over 18 games in May, picking up nine of his 18 steals on the year this month. The speedster has slashed .263/.319/.368 with two home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs, eight doubles and a triple through 168 plate appearances. Caballero continues to see a majority of the playing time at shortstop over Amed Rosario. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 pm
    • José Caballero with two hits, swipes base in loss
José Caballero went 2-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base in a loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: The stolen base was Cabellero’s 18th of the season and tied him with Brice Turang for second-most in the league behind only Elly De La Cruz. Those steals alone have turned him into one of the best bargains from draft season so far and as the Rays’ roster crunch becomes more crowded, Caballero’s defense at shortstop is very likely to keep him on the field every day. • Elly De La Cruz has game’s only RBI in win
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: The double accounted for the only RBI of the game, but it wasn’t particularly well hit at just 86 mph off the bat. It was just one of those nights where neither offense seemed to get anything going. The bigger news for De La Cruz was that he didn’t strike out on Tuesday after going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts in the final three games of the Dodgers’ series. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:54 pm

    • Missing from Tuesday's lineup
Caballero is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Caballero will get a day off Tuesday, giving way to Amed Rosario at shortstop. Caballero owns a .257/.315/.365 slash line across 164 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:00 pm
    • Elly De La Cruz strikes out four times in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: After a tremendous first game of the series, De La Cruz finished the final three games against the Dodgers going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He’s off to an absurd start to the season with 30 stolen bases and nine home runs in 47 games; however, he has started to give back some of his early plate discipline gains. De La Cruz now has 26 strikeouts to just five walks in May while going 14-for-65 at the plate for a .215 average. He’s an electric fantasy player and not somebody you’d ever take out of your lineup, but the 22-year-old remains a work in progress as far as his approach at the plate goes. While that gives him scary good upside, it also means that you should be ready for some prolonged cold streaks as well. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:17 pm

    • Gets break Friday
Caballero is not in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Caballero has started in the majority of games for Tampa Bay at shortstop this season, but he will get a break as the Rays kick off their series with Toronto. It's the 27-year-old's sixth absences in 46 this season, and he's slashing .252/.309/.360 with 17 stolen bases and 13 RBI. Amed Rosario will get the start in place of Caballero at shortstop and against the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:17 pm
    • Electrifying in win
De La Cruz went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI, three runs scored and four stolen bases in Thursday's win over the Dodgers while also drawing a walk.

Advice: De La Cruz was a force to be reckoned with, reaching base five times and swiping at least one bag following each of his first three plate appearances. Those steals would lead to him scoring three runs, marking the third time this season he's accomplished that feat. It was also the star shortstop's first four-hit game on the campaign and his third game with three or more hits. De La Cruz has a whopping 30 stolen bases on the season following his first four-steal performance, sitting 13 ahead of the next closest player, Tampa Bay's Jose Caballero. • Elly De La Cruz steals four bases vs. Dodgers
Elly De La Cruz went 4-for-4 with four stolen bases on Thursday, leading the Reds to a 7-2 victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: De La Cruz might break the century mark in the stolen base department, if he sustains this surreal pace. He was thrown out attempting a fifth steal in the seventh inning of Thursday’s showdown at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar is still striking out 30 percent of the time, but some improved plate discipline has enabled him to reach base more frequently this season and show off his field-tilting speed. He’s batting .277/.378/.516 with 35 runs scored, nine homers, 22 RBI and 30 steals following the first four-steal performance of his career out in Los Angeles. There’s still some room for improvement, but De La Cruz is rapidly evolving into one of the premier five-category impact contributors in the entire fantasy landscape. • Elly De La Cruz sits for first time this season
Elly De La Cruz is absent from the Reds lineup Wednesday for the first time this season.

Advice: No word of any injury, and we’re going to assume this was a planned day off. Spencer Steer got one yesterday, and he also had been in the lineup every game this season. The Reds have Santiago Espinal at shortstop today. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:20 am
