    Yates picked up a save against the A's on Monday, walking one batter in a scoreless inning of work.

    Advice: Yates got the ball with Texas holding a two-run lead in the ninth inning and walked the second batter he faced to bring the tying run to the plate. However, the veteran reliever got Brett Harris to line into a double play to end the contest and secure his sixth save. Yates still hasn't given up a run this season, and he's yielded just three hits over 15 innings.     Massey went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Brewers.

    Advice: Massey got the Royals on the board in the seventh inning. The second baseman continues to hit well after a brief stretch to get up to speed following his April 19 season debut. Massey has hit safely in nine straight games and has an extra-base hit in five of the last six contests.     Anderson (2-1) pitched a perfect inning and struck out two batters to earn the win Monday over the Brewers.

    Advice: Anderson kept the deficit to two runs in the top of the seventh inning, and the Royals rallied ahead in their half of the frame. The right-hander allowed multiple runs in two of his first five outings of the season, but he's since posted nine consecutive scoreless innings. He's at a 2.77 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB through 13 innings overall, though that hasn't translated to many high-leverage looks for Anderson, who has added just one hold and no saves.     Heaney allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out five batters over six innings in a no-decision against Oakland on Monday.

    Advice: Heaney notched his second straight quality start, but a strong outing by opposing starter Alex Wood kept him from picking up his first win of the season. Nonetheless, Heaney was impressive in the start, inducing 15 swinging strikes and finishing without issuing a free pass for his third consecutive appearance. The left-hander failed to get through five frames in each of his first three starts of the season but has now done so in each of his subsequent four outings, and he's gone at least six frames in three straight trips to the mound.     Wheeler (4-3) earned the win Monday against San Francisco, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts over seven innings.

    Advice: Wheeler didn't allow an earned run for the third time in his last four starts as he shut down the Giants with a season-high 11 strikeouts. After seeing his ERA rise above 3.00 a season ago for the first time since 2019, Wheeler has cruised to a 1.64 ERA across 49.1 innings this season and is tied for the league lead in strikeouts with 63.     Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Monday in a 4-3 win against St. Louis.

    Advice: With the score tied 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning, Nimmo swatted a 415-foot solo shot to right field that provided the winning margin for New York. The veteran outfielder extended his hitting streak to five games, and four of his seven hits over that span have gone for extra bases.     Alex Vesia pitched a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Marlins on Monday.

    Advice: Vesia came in to protect a three-run lead and the southpaw was up to the challenge. That’s the first save of the season for the 28-year-old — and just the fourth of his career — and he lowered his ERA to 1.65 with the scoreless frame.   • Walker Buehler goes four innings in season debut
    Walker Buehler allowed three runs over four innings in a start Monday against the Marlins.

    Advice: He allowed six hits with no walks, and he struck out four. Buehler didn’t get deep enough to qualify for the win, as he threw 77 pitches in his first start since June of 2022. The right-hander gave up a pair of run-scoring singles in the first and a homer to Nick Gordon in the second, but Buehler settled down nicely over the final two innings, and showed flashes of the ace hurler he was prior to Tommy John surgery.   • Brandon Nimmo swats go-ahead homer to fold Cards
    Brandon Nimmo launched a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning on Monday, lifting the Mets to a 4-3 victory over the Cardinals.

    Advice: Nimmo’s tie-breaking seventh-inning shot off veteran reliever Andrew Kittredge wound up being the difference in a low-scoring series-opening showdown at Busch Stadium. It was his fourth round-tripper of the season and second time he’s gone deep in his last eight contests since April 29.
