      Advice: There’s some buzz that Lowe will be ready to return to Tampa Bay early next week, but he’s going to get in at least a couple additional rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Durham.       Marcus Semien singled on Friday in his return to the Rangers’ lineup.

      Advice: Semien was held out of the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks due to some lingering general soreness following a collision with teammate Adolis García earlier this month.       Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season.       Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May.       Romano wasn't available for Friday's game against the Pirates due to elbow soreness, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

      Advice: Manager John Schneider said Romano's elbow has not recovered properly following his last outing Wednesday against the White Sox. The team is officially labeling his injury as "soreness" for now, but the Jays should have a better idea of what Romano is dealing with ahead of Saturday's contest.       Advice: The 36-year-old DH came up big for the Mets, breaking a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning by crushing the first pitch he saw from Ryan Thompson to straightaway center field. Martinez is settling into a groove, slashing .279/.323/.508 over his last 15 games with five doubles, three homers and nine RBI, but his 36.9 percent strikeout rate during that time is still worrisome.       Toro went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run in an extra-innings loss to the Rays on Thursday.

      Advice: Toro wreaked havoc during the 12-inning contest, putting together his third multi-hit effort in the last four games. The 27-year-old also ripped a two-bagger for the second straight game, and his clutch RBI single in the 10th snapped a 4-4 tie at the time. Toro has found a home in the leadoff spot, logging a .277 batting average, 11 extra-base hits, three steals and 19 runs in 156 plate appearances from the top of the order.
