    Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-3 with a lead off home run in Monday’s game against the Yankees.

    Advice: Henderson got the O’s on the board early in the first frame with a solo shot that was 112.3 MPH off the bat, making it his hardest hit home run this season. It’s the 22-year-old’s 10th home run and third lead off home run this season. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year has been even better slashing .289/.352/.632 through 28 games in 2024.   • Clarke Schmidt strikes out five in loss versus O’s
    Clarke Schmidt allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out five batters in 5 2/3 innings on Monday against the Orioles.

    Advice: Besides a lead off home run to Gunnar Henderson, Schmidt pitched well against a potent Baltimore offense. After the first inning when he allowed that home run and a single to Ryan O’Hearn, the 28-year-old hurler allowed just one hit in his final four innings.     Grayson Rodriguez went 5 2/3 innings and allowed five hits and no runs in a 1-0 victory against the Yankees.

    Advice: After a putrid outing where he allowed seven earned runs, Rodriguez put together a scoreless performance and threw more than 100 pitches for the first time in a game this season.     Jazz Chisolm Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.

    Advice: Déjà vu. Jazz has homered in back-to-back games. The 26-year-old got Miami on the board in the sixth inning when he took Jake Irvin’s fastball 414 feet to deep center field. Chisolm got off to a slow start this season, where he saw his batting average as low as .130 seven games into the season.   • CJ Abrams blasts two-run homer in win versus MIA
    CJ Abrams went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in a 7-2 win against the Marlins on Monday.

    Advice: The 23-year-old continues to have a solid season slashing .300/.381/.640 with seven home runs and 16 RBI. His two-run home run came in the third inning as Trevor Rogers left a fastball right down the center of the plate and Abrams did not miss.   • Trevor Rogers allows three runs in loss versus Nats
    Trevor Rogers yielded four hits and three earned runs across five innings of work against the Nationals on Monday.

    Advice: Rogers has now allowed three earned runs in back-to-back starts. Two of those three runs came off the bat of CJ Abrams who homered in the third inning to give the Nats an early 2-0 lead.   • Jake Irvin allows two runs in six innings against Marlins
    Jake Irvin allowed just two earned runs and punched out three batters against the Marlins on Monday.

    Advice: Irvin has pitched six innings in three of his past four starts and was able to limit runs unlike his last outing where he gave up six to the Dodgers. He hasn’t been able to get batters to strikeout as much as he was at the beginning of the season. He’s struck out just three batters in back-to-back starts after having at least four punch outs in every start previously. Fantasy managers should plan to start Irvin on a matchup-basis as he’s gotten rocked against the Phillies and Dodgers, but has been serviceable against lesser opponents.     Advice: Varland will return to the major-league roster after being sent down to Oklahoma City on April 8. The right-hander has pitched two-thirds of an inning with the Dodgers over two appearances this season, allowing two runs (one earned).
