• Sent back to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Campbell to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Campbell's stay with the Red Sox lasted for just three days, with the right-handed reliever getting tagged for three earned runs while recording just one out in his lone appearance in Monday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays. The 26-year-old has been effective in his 11 appearances with Worcester this season, logging a 2.19 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 12.1 innings. Despite his lack of success in the big leagues this season, Campbell should still rank near the top of the list for a call-up when the Red Sox require an extra bullpen arm. • Heads back to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Heineman to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: As expected, Heineman's stay with the Red Sox was a brief one. Boston called him up from Worcester on Monday to provide another option at catcher while Connor Wong (personal) was away from the team on paternity leave, but Heineman will head back to the minors after Wong was activated ahead of the Red Sox's next game Friday versus the Padres. Heineman picked up one at-bat during his latest stint in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 9:25 am
  • Outrighted to Triple-A
The Yankees outrighted Andrews to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Advice: It's the second time since April that Andrews has been outrighted after departing the Yankees' 40-man roster. Whether he accepts the assignment and remains in the organization or elects free agency is not yet known. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 am
  • Launches ninth homer
Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: Conforto launched a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the second to put the Giants up 2-1 and was directly followed by another solo shot off the bat of David Villar. The outfielder has now posted at least one RBI in three consecutive games and in four of his last five overall. However, Conforto still has just one multi-hit effort this month, where he's now batting .125 with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
  • Smacks third homer
Matos went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Matos jumped on a hanging knuckle-curve from Drew Smyly in the fifth and sent it into the stands in left-center field for his third home run of the campaign and first since May 18 against Colorado. It marked the outfielder's second consecutive two-hit performance and first RBI this month. He's also hit safely in three straight contests and is now batting .320 (8-for-25) in June. • Luis Matos collects two hits, homers vs. Cubs
Luis Matos went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in the Giants’ 4-3 win against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Matos was recalled after Mike Yastrzemski hit the injured list last week. He’s collected at least one hit in all four starts, including a solo homer in the fifth inning off of Drew Smyly on Wednesday. The 22-year-old outfielder is slashing .253/.272/.374 with three homers and 21 RBI across 103 plate appearances. Given his bat-to-ball skills and improved hard-hit rate, he should get a chance to continue improving on his .253 BABIP and could be relevant in five-outfielder leagues. • Michael Conforto blasts two-run homer in win
Michael Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: With a runner on base in the second inning, Conforto took Hayden Wesneski deep to right center field for a two-run shot to put the Giants on the board. It was Conforto’s ninth homer of the season and only his second in June. The 31-year-old outfielder is slashing .232/.286/.415 with 23 runs scored and 29 RBI across 224 plate appearances. • David Villar launches first homer vs. Cubs
David Villar went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Villar got a chance with the big league club after slugging 12 homers across 58 Triple-A games. He took Hayden Wesneski deep for a solo homer in the second inning for his first homer of the season. The 27-year-old first baseman will likely see sporadic playing time with too much of a volatile profile to garner any mixed-league relevance. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:16 pm

  • Brett Wisely finishes 2-for-4 in Giants’ victory
Brett Wisely went 2-for-4 with a run scored from the leadoff spot in the Giants’ 5-1 defeat of the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Wisely’s second hit, a 403-foot double to left-center, would have been a homer in 29 of 30 ballparks and really a no-doubter in most of them. Oracle Park isn’t built that way, though. Wisely, who has turned into the Giants’ shortstop versus righties, is batting an impressive .301/.333/.441 in 99 plate appearances. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:43 pm
