• Two extra-base hits in win
Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-4 with a triple and a solo homer in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa jumped on the third pitch he saw from Jack Flaherty in the top of the third and launched it over the wall in left field to put the Blue Jays on the board. The outfielder would add a triple in his next at-bat, giving him back-to-back games with two hits after previously riding an 0-for-20 skid. The home run was his third of the season, though two of those have come over his last 11 games. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

  • Moves to upper half of order
Candelario batted third and went 1-for-4 for with a walk, a triple, an RBI and was caught stealing in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: Candelario tripled a run home in the first inning then was caught stealing home on a double-steal attempt to end the inning. He was later removed for a pinch runner in the 10th inning after he had walked. A recent hot stretch prompted a move up the batting order; Candelario has batted third or fourth in four straight contests. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

  • Homers in third straight game
Chapman went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Chapman's swing is rounding into form -- he's got a homer in three straight games, and he's hitting .405 (17-for-42) with six walks during an 11-game on-base streak. The third baseman's blast Thursday sparked the Giants' eighth-inning rally. He's up to a .249/.313/.440 slash line with eight homers, 27 RBI, five stolen bases and 33 runs scored through 50 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 pm
  • Swipes two bags
Kim went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Kim seemingly has a green light to run right now -- he's logged five steals over his last five games, going 5-for-15 with five walks in that span. The shortstop is up to 13 thefts on 14 attempts this season, putting him roughly on pace to match his total of 38 steals in 2023. Kim has added a .216/.335/.369 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, four doubles and two triples over 52 games, but his recent hitting suggests he may be turning things around. Kim still figures to hit in the bottom half of the order most of the time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm

  • Davis hits fourth home run Thursday
J.D. Davis went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Davis’s home run in the eighth inning off Tyler Kinley brought the Athletics to within one run. It was his fourth home run of the season. Davis is hitting just .220 with two home runs since being activated from the injured list on May 3rd. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:11 pm

  • Michael Busch goes 0-for-4 in loss to Braves
Michael Busch went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Thursday in the Cubs’ shutout loss at the hands of the Braves.

Advice: Busch is really struggling at the moment, batting .183 (17-for-93) with just one home run over his last 30 games. He’s gone especially frigid at the dish, hitting just .071 (1-for-14) over his past seven contests. The league seems to have made its adjustment to the 26-year-old top prospect and now it’s time for him to strike back. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him get a break in the coming days as a bit of a mental reset. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:52 pm

  • Austin Riley (side) misses 10th consecutive game
Austin Riley (side) remained out of the lineup for Thursday’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: Riley remained out of Atlanta’s lineup for the 10th consecutive contest on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field recovering from an intercostal strain. The 27-year-old fantasy stalwart hasn’t played since May 12. The positive news here is that he was able to resume hitting on Wednesday without any issues. It’s unclear whether he’ll be ready to return for Friday’s series opener against the Pirates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:48 pm

  • Ha-Seong Kim steals two bags against Reds
Ha-Seong Kim stole two bases while going 1-for-3 with a walk against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Kim was also thrown out stealing for the second time this season, but the pair of thefts do bring his season total to 13. That’s a solid number, obviously, but his .216/.335/.369 slash has left a lot to be desired. Despite those poor numbers he does have six homers and 22 RBI, so we’ll call Kim’s 2024 campaign a mixed bag. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:32 pm
