    • Davis Schneider getting Sunday off vs. Athletics
Davis Schneider is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider gets a day of rest against Mitch Spence and the Oakland staff. In his place, Spencer Horwitz will not only get the start at second base, but hit at the top of the Toronto lineup. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Isaac Paredes not starting Sunday vs. Orioles
Isaac Paredes is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Paredes, 25, will take a break for the first time in nearly a month (May 13). The power-hitting third baseman will get a day of rest with Taylor Walls taking his place in the lineup at shortstop and Jose Caballero moving over to the hot corner. Rotoworld Today, 7:48 am

    • Getting breather Sunday
Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Paredes will not start for the first time since May 13 against the Red Sox. Over the first two games of the series, the 24-year-old has gone 0-for-7 with two strikeouts. Jose Caballero will shift over to third base Sunday, while Taylor Walls starts at shortstop against Orioles right-hander Grayson Rodriguez. Rotowire.com Today, 7:42 am

    • Receiving first day off
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: The 26-year-old was scheduled to sit last weekend but convinced his way back into the lineup, so it's possible the Brewers make another late lineup change. For now, Contreras is set to be on the bench for the first time this season after making 64 straight starts to begin 2024. He's struggled early in June with a .492 OPS through seven contests and is homerless in his past 60 at-bats, so it's a good time for some extra rest. Gary Sanchez will work behind the plate and bat fifth Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 7:39 am
    • William Contreras out Sunday against Tigers
William Contreras is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Contreras was supposed to get his first day off of the season last Sunday, but he and Willy Adames were both inserted into the lineup later. Assuming the lineup doesn’t change, Contreras will finally get that day of rest. Gary Sanchez is the starting catcher and hitting fifth. Rotoworld Today, 7:39 am
    • Scores lone run
Semien went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to San Francisco.

Advice: Semien, who had a seven-game hit streak halted, walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored on a sacrifice fly. He leads the Rangers with 46 runs scored, which ranks tied for ninth in MLB. Rotowire.com Today, 6:57 am

    • Hunter Brown tosses six scoreless to beat Halos
Hunter Brown struck out seven over six shutout innings on Saturday in a win over the Angels.

Advice: Brown followed up Houston ace Framber Valdez’s complete-game effort on Friday evening with his fourth consecutive quality start, scattering two hits and four walks over six impressive frames. Los Angeles had him on the ropes in the opening frame, but he managed to escape a bases-loaded jam by striking out Matt Thaiss on a 98.2 mph heater to extinguish the early threat. The 25-year-old righty has rebounded from an abysmal start to the year by posting a posting a 3.05 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 43/15 K/BB ratio across 38 1/3 innings (seven appearances, six starts) since May 5. He’ll square off against the Tigers on Friday in his next outing. Rotoworld Today, 3:14 am

    • Works around four walks in win
Brown (2-5) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Brown logged his fourth straight quality start, and he's given up just six runs with a 26:8 K:BB over 24 innings, though this is his only win over that stretch. It continues a positive trend for Brown, who is pitching deeper into games, though his 4.3 BB/9 on the year remains alarmingly high. The right-hander also has a 5.58 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 67:29 K:BB over 61.1 innings through 13 appearances (12 starts). He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Tigers. • Labors through scoreless frame
Kopech allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two across a scoreless ninth inning Saturday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Kopech was called upon to protect a five-run lead. He did so successfully, though he allowed three hitters to reach base -- he hit a batter in addition to the walk and hit he surrendered -- and required 33 pitches to retire the side. Though it was shaky, the outing was still positive for Kopech as he had allowed at least one run in three of his last four appearances entering Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm
