Williams (5-0) picked up the win over Atlanta on Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings while striking out four.

Advice: The right-hander was able to keep Atlanta's lineup at bay for most of the contest, allowing just one run in the bottom of the third inning after surrendering a leadoff triple to Jarred Kelenic. Williams induced 12 whiffs on the night and retired nine straight batters over his final frames before an Ozzie Albies single sent him to the showers after 95 pitches. Williams has not allowed more than one earned run in eight of his 11 starts this season while also going at least five innings in all but one start. Rotowire.com Today, 4:13 am
    • Trevor Williams holds ATL in check over 5 2/3
Trevor Williams went 5 2/3 innings while allowing just one run on four hits t pick up a victory Thursday against Atlanta.

Advice: Williams walked two and struck out four before leaving. The 32-year-old has been fantastic in 2024 with an ERA of 2.22 over the first third of the season as evidence. The metrics suggest that much of this is good luck, but the results are tough to argue with. He’ll have a chance to prove the doubters wrong again next Tuesday against the Mets, assuming no changes to the rotation order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:00 pm
    • Brady Singer scratched on Thursday with illness
Royals scratched Brady Singer from Thursday’s start due to illness.

Advice: It doesn’t seem like anything concerning for Singer long term, but he will miss today’s start against the Twins and may not pitch again until his next turn in the rotation. Daniel Lynch IV was called up from Triple-A Omaha to start in Singer’s place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:51 am

    • Scratched from start due to illness
Singer has been scratched from Thursday's scheduled start against the Twins due to illness.

Advice: Daniel Lynch was recalled from Triple-A Omaha and will start Thursday in Singer's place. It's possible Singer will be ready to make a start in the coming days, though it will depend on how he bounces back from the illness. Consider him day-to-day for the time being. • Earns second straight win
Garrett (2-0) earned the win Wednesday over the Padres, allowing a run on six hits over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: A Ha-Seong Kim homer in the third inning was the lone damage against Garrett, as the left-hander earned a second straight win -- he's allowed just one run on nine hits over 14 innings in that span after allowing 11 runs in his first two outings this season. Garrett's ERA is down to 4.56 with a 1.06 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB through his first 23.2 innings this year. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Rays in his next start. • Braxton Garrett nets victory Wednesday vs. Padres
Braxton Garrett allowed one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Garrett followed up a complete-game performance his last time out against the Diamondbacks by continuing his tour of the NL West, limiting San Diego’s lineup to just a third-inning solo shot from Ha-Seong Kim over five frames to collect his fourth win of the season. He struck out two and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’ll carry a 4.56 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 21/3 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings (four starts) into a home outing next Wednesday against the strikeout-prone Rays. Given his recent performance, he should be rostered in all fantasy formats. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:41 pm
    • Another victory
Gausman (4-3) picked up the win Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Gausman was sharp Tuesday, yielding one run and fewer than five hits for a second straight start to tally his fourth win in his last six outings. However, he snapped a streak of four consecutive outings with six or more Ks and yielded three extra-base hits. Gausman has allowed one or fewer earned runs in six of his last eight starts but owns a 4.14 ERA on the year. He's tentatively scheduled for a start against Baltimore on Monday. • Gausman allows one earned run in win over ChiSox
Kevin Gausman allowed one earned and four hits over six innings while earning the win on Tuesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gausman didn’t face much resistance in this one, as the Blue Jays grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the second, which more or less put Gausman in cruise control against one of the league’s worst offenses. Gausman earned a win in three of his five stars this month, and will have a chance to start June off on a strong note when he makes his next scheduled start on Monday against the Orioles. • Hyde: Dean Kremer (triceps) to resume throwing
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Tuesday that Dean Kremer (triceps) will resume throwing later this week.

Advice: Kremer hit the injured list last week with a right triceps strain, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s ready to resume throwing already. The 28-year-old righty should rejoin Baltimore’s starting rotation mix at some point in mid-June. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:40 pm
