    • Ha-Seong Kim swats three-run homer in blowout
Ha-Seong Kim hit a three-run homer in a blowout win for the Padres on Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim also walked. The shortstop’s three-run blast extended San Diego’s lead to 4-0 and gave Kim nine on the 2024 campaign. Kim has provided some power/speed over the first two-plus months of the season, and it’s helped made up for a batting average of just .224. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm

    • Steven Kwan homers, reaches four times vs. Marlins
Steven Kwan homered and reached four times in an 8-0 win for the Guardians over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: In addition to Kwan’s homer — a two-run shot in the fifth inning — the outfielder also singled and drew a pair of walks. Keeping in mind that the 26-year-old did miss a good amount of time, he’s still putting together a sensational .371/.431/.523 slash in 151 at-bats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • Homers in back-to-back games
Kim went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim has gone deep in back-to-back games, and he's logged seven extra-base hits among his 10 knocks over the last 10 games. The shortstop started the season slow, but it appears he's starting to find a groove. He's up to nine homers, 32 RBI, 35 runs scored, 13 stolen bases and a .224/.333/.404 slash line through 67 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm

    • Homers in Saturday's win
Kwan went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Kwan has received fairly regular rest since returning from a hamstring injury, but he's been money when in the lineup. Over five games since his return, he's gone 9-for-18 (.500) with three RBI and eight runs scored. The outfielder is up to a .371/.431/.523 slash line with four homers, 14 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases across 37 contests this season. Kwan is likely to remain cautious on the basepaths given his history of hamstring injuries, but it's his bat-to-ball skills that drive his production. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

    • Gives up two homers in loss
Brown (1-3) took the loss to the Reds on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings.

Advice: Brown gave up multiple home runs in a game for the first time in his young career. Jeimer Candelario took him deep in the first inning and then TJ Friedl got him for the go-ahead homer in the third. The rookie right-hander has now given up eight runs in his last two starts after a stellar showing of seven no-hit innings against the Brewers on May 28. Brown will take a 3.58 ERA into his next start, currently slated for next weekend against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:52 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) hoping to return on Friday
Kyle Tucker (shin) told reporters on Saturday that he’s feeling much improved and is hopeful he’ll be able to return to the Astros’ lineup when he’s first eligible on Friday.

Advice: The dynamic 27-year-old outfielder is now walking with just one crutch instead of two and he plans to resume baseball activities while the team is in San Francisco this week. It sounds like barring any setbacks, Tucker should be ready to rock at some point next weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:50 pm

    • Aiming for Friday return
Tucker (lower leg) is aiming to return to the Astros' lineup Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tucker is hopeful to return after the minimum 10 days on the injured list with a bruised right shin. He's been steadily improving since sustaining the injury and is down to using just one crutch after being seen Friday on two. Mauricio Dubon should handle most of the right field work until Tucker returns, though Joey Loperfido should get into the mix after recently being called up. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:46 pm

    • Throws on flat ground, bullpen next
Gallen (hamstring) threw a flat-ground session Saturday and is expected to throw a bullpen soon, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen was cleared for throwing June 3 and was able to complete a flat-ground session Saturday. The next box for Gallen to check in his recovery from a right hamstring strain would be a bullpen, which should occur in the coming days. Gallen will be eligible to return from the injured list June 15, though it's unclear if he'll be ready by then. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:18 pm

    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) throws off of flat ground
Zac Gallen (hamstring) threw off of flat ground without any issues on Saturday.

Advice: As long as he rebounds fine from that session, he’ll be cleared to throw a bullpen session. Gallen has been shelved since May 31 due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. It remains unclear if he’ll require a minor league rehab start or not before rejoining the Diamondbacks’ rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:04 pm
