Miller was charged with a blown save in Thursday's 6-5 loss to Tampa Bay in 12 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks over two innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Jose Siri's game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth was the first given up by Miller this year while also resulting in his first blown save in 12 chances. Despite Thursday's hiccup, it's been an excellent start to the season for the 26-year-old Miller -- his ERA now sits at 2.08 with a 0.88 WHIP and 51 strikeouts, the most among qualified relief pitchers, through 26 innings. • Miller blows first save of the season Thursday
Mason Miller blew the save against the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: Miller entered the ninth inning with a 4-3 lead and allowed a solo home run to Jose Siri. It was his first blown save of the season. Miller had basically been untouchable all season as he converted his first 11 saves. His ERA is now 2.08 on the year. Miller remains one of the most dominant relievers in all of baseball and would likely remain in a closing role if traded to a contender later this year.

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Kirby did not factor into the decision in a win over the Astros on Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits over six innings while striking out eight.

Advice: Kirby retired the first eight batters he faced to open the contest and didn't allow an extra-base hit over his six innings of work. The right-hander induced 15 swings and misses on the night en route to posting his highest strikeout total in his last six starts. He's now gone six or more innings in four consecutive outings, though he's posted quality starts in only two of those appearances. Kirby has also walked only two batters over six starts in May. • Fans seven in no-decision
Pepiot allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Oakland on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot appeared on his way to a quality start after giving up one run through five frames, but he was pulled with two outs in the sixth after allowing two batters to reach base, and one came around to score after his departure. Still, this was a positive step forward in the right-hander's second game back following a stint on the injured list. Pepiot gave up three runs over just four frames while walking four batters in his return from the IL last Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:49 pm

    • George Kirby collects eight strikeouts vs. Astros
George Kirby allowed one run with eight strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Wednesday.

Advice: After giving up five runs in back-to-back outings, Kirby put together an excellent start against the Astros. Three hits in the fourth would bring the only run across to score for Houston. Kirby scattered three other hits and did not walk a batter, striking out eight over his six innings of work. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 65/6 K/BB ratio across 68 1/3 innings into a start against the Athletics in Oakland on Tuesday. • Ryan Pepiot strikes out seven across 5 ⅔ innings
Ryan Pepiot allowed two earned runs on three hits across 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Athletics. He walked one and struck out seven in a no-decision.

Advice: Pepiot got back on track Wednesday. He mixed his pitches well - throwing his slider, fastball and changeup each at least 28% of the time - while throwing a first pitch strike to 17 of 21 Athletics’ hitters. This was a welcome sight after he missed more than two weeks on the IL and looked shaky in his return against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:56 pm

    • Nails down 13th save
Iglesias struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The right-hander topped out at 97.5 mph and fired nine of 11 pitches for strikes as he breezed through the top of Washington's order. Iglesias appears to be finding his peak form, reeling off four straight scoreless appearances with a 5:0 K:BB. On the season, he sports a 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB through 20.1 innings. • Locks down 11th save
Miller gave up a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 11th save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Rays.

Advice: The flamethrowing righty continues to dominate. Miller has yet to blow a save in 2024, and his 52.8 percent strikeout rate is the highest in the majors among pitchers who have worked at least 20 innings. Trade rumors are swirling around him, not surprising given the state of the Oakland franchise, but Miller would likely be the best closing option for any team that acquired him. Through 24 innings this season, he sports a 1.88 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:21 am

    • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:05 pm
