    • Getting day off
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston.

Advice: After making five straight starts, Mountcastle will take a seat Tuesday. The first baseman has generated a hit in six straight games, going 11-for-25 (.440) with five runs scored and four doubles. Ryan O'Hearn will play first base and bat third while Kyle Stowers fills the DH spot and bats seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:25 pm

    • Settles for no-decision Monday
King allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against Miami on Monday.

Advice: King pitched very well in the outing, but San Diego wasn't able to put its second run on the board until the seventh frame, preventing him from picking up a second consecutive victory. The only run the right-hander allowed came on a third-inning homer by Jazz Chisholm. King has given up one or zero runs in three of his past five starts and has racked up a 34:8 K:BB across 30 innings over that span. He's tentatively slated to make his next start in Kansas City. • Moving rehab to Triple-A
Kwan (hamstring) will have his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Columbus beginning Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kwan went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk over two games with High-A Lake County over the weekend. The outfielder is expected to play six-to-eight innings in left field Tuesday. He may stay with Columbus for the remainder of the Guardians' road trip, which makes it possible Kwan could be ready to return to the majors by Friday. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:57 pm

    • Racks up three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-3 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Mountcastle has hit safely in his last six games, going 11-for-25 (.440) in that span. During the streak, he has a double in four of those six games, though he's added just two RBI and has not hit a home run since May 8. Nonetheless, the first baseman is putting together a strong campaign with a .280/.317/.468 slash line, six homers, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 47 games. • Swipes eighth bag
Rosario went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double and a stolen base in Monday's victory over Atlanta. He also had one RBI and two runs scored.

Advice: Rosario continues his resurgent May, managing to steal his eighth base of the season in the third inning. The veteran outfielder entered the game slashing .258/.319/.576 with six homers, six steals, 15 RBI and 14 runs scored in 73 plate appearances this month. Rosario's hot play should allow him to maintain a strong-side platoon role despite Lane Thomas (knee) returning from the injured list Monday. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:10 pm
    • Leaves early with neck spasms
Bassitt (5-6) prematurely left Monday's game against the White Sox with neck spasms, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports. He allowed five hits and zero walks while striking out seven over five scoreless innings, earning the win.

Advice: It was reported after the game that Bassitt was questionable to start due to the injury, but he toughed it out and pitched five dominant innings. It is encouraging that the 36-year-old was able to play through the injury, but the severity is still unknown. The right-hander will try to heal up for his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend versus Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:59 pm

    • Chris Bassitt deals with neck spasms during start
The Blue Jays said Chris Bassitt was pulled after five innings Monday because of neck spasms.

Advice: It was an issue before the game, and the Jays had set up a contingency plan in case Bassitt couldn’t go. Bassitt wound up pitching five scoreless innings for a win over the White Sox. Rotoworld Monday, 2:08 pm
