    • Plays defense in second rehab game
      Polanco (hamstring) started at second base in High-A Everett's win over Eugene on Sunday and went 0-for-1 with two walks before being replaced defensively in the bottom of the fourth inning.

      Advice: Polanco was able to take another step with his time on the field, even if it was relatively brief. The veteran has reached safely in each of his first two rehab games, and he's now poised to shift his assignment to Triple-A Tacoma when the Rainiers resume play Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:38 am

    • Yimi García dealing with right elbow soreness
      Yimi García was removed from Sunday’s game against the Guardians with right elbow soreness.

      Advice: Garcia is expected to undergo additional testing after being removed from a save situation with two outs in the ninth inning of Sunday’s win, which was eventually closed out by Nate Pearson. It’s unclear where Toronto manager John Schneider will turn for saves moving forward, with veteran stopper Jordan Romano (elbow) still on the injured list, but veteran Chad Green would presumably be the add in all fantasy formats here.       Cruz went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Rockies.

      Glasnow (7-5) picked up the win Sunday against Kansas City, allowing three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts across seven scoreless innings.

      Advice: Glasnow was exceptional Sunday, striking out at least nine batters for a third straight start and completing his first scoreless start since April 21. He didn't allow an extra-base hit in the outing and got into the win column for the first time in seven starts. Glasnow leads MLB with 125 strikeouts across 93 innings, and his ERA dropped from 3.24 to 3.00 after Sunday's start. The 30-year-old is tentatively scheduled to face the Angels his next time out.       Eflin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Eflin entered the sixth inning with a four-run lead, but after retiring the first two batters in the frame, he allowed four consecutive singles and was removed one out shy of completing six full innings. The seven strikeouts marked a season high for Eflin, who had failed to record more than three strikeouts during any of his previous five starts. He'll carry a 4.12 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place over the weekend when the Rays travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.       Tyler Glasnow cruised against the Royals on Sunday, striking out nine over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 3-0 shutout.

      Advice: Glasnow walked only one and needed just 85 pitches to get his 21 outs today. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak in which the Dodgers just couldn’t score runs for him. He’s 7-5 with a 3.00 ERA and a 125/25 K/BB in 93 innings for the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm
       
    • Exits with elbow soreness Sunday
      Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Sunday's 7-6 win over the Guardians that Garcia was removed from the contest in the ninth inning with right elbow soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. "We'll see how he is and know more later [Sunday or Monday]."

      Advice: Called upon for the save chance with the Blue Jays holding a 7-4 lead entering the top of the ninth, Garcia lacked his usual command in the relief appearance. After inducing a leadoff popout from Kyle Manzardo, Garcia surrendered a base hit to Daniel Schneemann before serving up a two-run home run to Brayan Rocchio. He then got Bo Naylor to foul out before getting lifted from the game after serving up back-to-back singles to Steven Kwan and Tyler Freeman. Nate Pearson came on with two outs and runners on the corners to put out the fire and enable Garcia to earn his 10th hold of the season, but Garcia's health now becomes the greater concern. If Garcia's elbow issue is serious enough for him to join Jordan Romano (elbow) on the injured list, the Blue Jays could turn to Pearson, Chad Green and Tim Mayza to handle any future save chances that may arise.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored against the Guardians on Sunday.



      Advice: Guerrero was 1-for-17 (.059) with one walk in his last five games. While the three hits were good to see, his power is still a concern. Guerrero’s .122 ISO is a career-low and with seven home runs so far he’s going to have to pick up the pace to even repeat the 26 home runs he hit last season.
