• Picks up ninth save
Jansen pitched a flawless ninth inning and picked up the save Sunday against Milwaukee. He struck out two.

Advice: Jansen notched his ninth save of the season, preserving a 2-1 Boston lead in the ninth inning. The right-hander continues to have a firm grip on the Boston closer role, as no other Boston reliever has registered more than two saves this season. The 36-year-old veteran is now 9-for-10 in save chances this season with a 3.06 ERA. Rotowire.com Today, 5:53 pm

  • Working back from shoulder sprain
Triple-A Toledo placed Flores on its 7-day injured list May 14 with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder.

Advice: Per Evan Petzold, Flores threw a bullpen session Saturday, so he may not be far away from making his return from the 7-day IL. Prior to sustaining the injury, Flores compiled a 6.04 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 19:19 K:BB across 22.1 innings over his 13 relief appearances for Toledo. Rotowire.com Today, 5:52 pm

  • Allows two runs in no-decision
Manaea did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs, five hits and a walk over five innings against the Giants. He struck out six.

Advice: Manaea threw 88 pitches, allowing single runs in the second and third innings prior to exiting the game after five innings. He was in line for a tough-luck loss but was bailed out when the Mets scored three in the bottom of the ninth for the come-from-behind victory. Manaea entered the game on six days rest and tallied his seventh-consecutive start of allowing three or fewer runs. Through 10 starts, Manaea has a solid ERA of 3.16 with a 1.29 WHIP and 47 strikeouts over 51.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled to take place next weekend when the Mets travel to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Today, 5:46 pm

  • Solid versus Boston
Myers pitched 4.1 innings Sunday against Boston, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision.

Advice: The 25-year-old got his first start since being called up Tuesday, taking the place of Joe Ross (back) in the Brewers rotation. Myers pitched well, not allowing a home run for the first time in five starts this season and improving his shaky 10:8 K:BB ratio. With five Brewers starters on the IL, Myers could stick in the rotation for the time being, especially if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 5:39 pm

  • Blows save, suffers first loss
Rogers (0-1) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch while only recording one out against the Mets.

Advice: Rogers was filling in for a resting Camilo Doval, who had pitched the previous two games of the series. It was the second time in four days Rogers was called upon to fill in for the Giants' regular closer, but Sunday's outing was not nearly as successful as Thursday's, blowing the save and allowing the Mets to walk it off after entering the ninth with a two-run lead. Rogers' ERA ballooned by over a run, from 2.19 entering the game to 3.24 following the outing. Rotowire.com Today, 5:39 pm
  • Throws seven high-quality innings
Webb did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run (none earned) on three hits and a walk over seven innings against the Mets. He struck out eight.

Advice: The lone unearned run Webb allowed was set up by his own error, but he was lights-out otherwise with a season-high eight strikeouts and left the game in line for the win. The outing dropped Webb's ERA to 2.74 with a 1.26 WHIP across 72.1 innings. His next scheduled start is slated for next weekend when the Giants host the Yankees. Rotowire.com Today, 5:29 pm

  • Could miss four-plus weeks
Acuna (knee) said Sunday that he wouldn't be surprised if he misses a month, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Acuna told reporters he was going on the 10-day injured list and said the discomfort is more like what he felt in 2018 than what he dealt with in 2021 when he tore his ACL. Acuna had a significant limp as he was moving around the clubhouse after Sunday's game, in which he collapsed in the top of the first inning when trying to go back to second base and needed assistance getting down the dugout stairs. He said he did not hear a pop, but Monday's MRI results still loom large. In Acuna's absence, Jarred Kelenic and Adam Duvall could play more against same-handed pitchers. • Throws side session
Manager Stephen Vogt said that Carrasco (neck) completed an "up-down" bullpen session Sunday and is "feeling a lot better," MLB.com reports.

Advice: Carrasco is already back on the mound after he was placed on the 15-day injured list five days earlier with an acute neck spasm. Assuming his neck doesn't provide any further complications in his subsequent throwing sessions, Carrasco could make his return from the IL around when he's first eligible to return in early June. • Kenley Jansen perfect in earning ninth save
Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two, for a save Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Jansen’s save was his ninth in 10 chances. He’ll be a trade candidate this summer and there’s the chance he’ll go to a team that won’t employ him as a closer, but he’s a top-15 reliever for now. Rotoworld Today, 5:18 pm
