  • Summoned to big leagues
    The Guardians recalled Noel from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday. He'll start at first base and bat sixth in the Guardians' series finale in Baltimore.

    Advice: Noel will hit the big leagues for the first time. The 22-year-old slashed .295/.359/.578 with 18 home runs over 65 games with Columbus this season. Much of that production has come since the start of May, with Noel producing a .343/.404/.651 line with 14 home runs in 43 contests over that stretch. Noel has also struck out at just an 18.1-percent rate since May 1, which is a positive development for a player who has often struggled to make contact during his minor-league career. The 29-year-old is still getting on base at a lowly .279 clip for the season, so despite seeing his playing time trend upward of late, he's hardly locked into an everyday role for Milwaukee.     Kiermaier went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

    Advice: Getting the start in center field and batting ninth, Kiermaier produced his first multi-hit performance since May 8. The veteran defensive whiz came into the game slashing a woeful .111/.135/.194 over 38 plate appearances in June with a 46.2-percent strikeout rate, and only a recent back issue for Daulton Varsho has given Kiermaier consistent starts again.     Advice: Reynolds extended his hitting streak to 22 games, but his power has been particularly notable of late. Across his last six starts, he has gone deep four times to bring his total on the season to 13. Across the entirety of his hitting streak, Reynolds has hit .360 with 16 RBI and 15 runs.     Noel is slashing .402/.471/.705 with nine home runs and a 14.5-percent strikeout rate in his last 30 games for Triple-A Columbus.

    Advice: With Kyle Manzardo failing to take a big-league job and run with it and Noel already being on the 40-man roster, Noel could get a shot as Cleveland's designated hitter sometime this summer. The righty-hitting slugger has huge raw power, and while he has seen 25 starts in the corner outfield spots this season, he's probably too big (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) to get regular starts in the outfield at the highest level.     Advice: Jimenez started in his third consecutive game since being activated from the injured list Sunday, and he has one hit in each contest. His performance Tuesday marked his first extra-base hit in that span, and he also has one RBI and one run scored. Jimenez has hit either third or fourth in every game since his return.   • Aaron Judge hits grand slam in loss
    Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

    Advice: Judge had an RBI double in the seventh inning with the Yankees down by seven but then crushed a 390-foot grand slam at 109.4 mph that brought the Yankees within two. While the bottom of the Yankees lineup may not be particularly deep, they still have Aaron Judge, which will always make them a threat. The big right fielder now has 29 home runs and 75 RBI already this season, which seems like video game numbers. You’re feeling great if you were able to take him with your first-round pick.     Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-5 win over the Reds on Sunday.

    Advice: Reynolds homered off Hunter Greene in the first inning in an at-bat that started with Greene puking on the mound. Reynolds later crushed a 426-foot shot at 106.3 mph for his 13th home run of the season to go along with 46 RBI and a .280/.347/.475 slash line.
