• Beginning assignment Tuesday
Borucki (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Borucki graduated to facing live hitters over the weekend and will now head to the minor leagues after experiencing no issues following his latest session of live BP. The 30-year-old southpaw has been on the injured list since early April and is aiming to return to Pittsburgh's bullpen ahead of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:57 am

  • Shutting down for weekend
Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that Jung (wrist) will be shut down for the weekend before he resumes taking live batting practice Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bochy noted that Jung has experienced residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist since he rejoined the club Friday, but the Rangers don't seem to view it as a setback and simply opted to have him rest up over the weekend. Jung could be activated from the 60-day injured list later this week if his wrist responds well to Tuesday's live BP session. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:24 am

  • Idle Saturday
Drury (illness) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Drury had been scratched from the starting lineup on back-to-back nights, but he won't be listed as a starter for Saturday's series finale due to illness. He'll have a team day off Sunday to recover before Monday's matchup with Oakland. Luis Guillorme will play second base and bat ninth Saturday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:36 pm

  • Brandon Drury remains out of lineup on Saturday
Brandon Drury (illness) remained out of the Angels’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s battle against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s the third straight game that Drury has missed due to illness. With the Angels off on Sunday, he’ll have plenty of time to rest up in time for Monday’s series opener against the Athletics. Luis Guillorme will start in his place at second base and bat ninth against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers on Saturday night. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:31 pm

  • Tyler Soderstrom hits solo homer in blowout loss
Tyler Soderstrom hit a solo homer in a blowout loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Even in a blowout loss, Soderstrom was able to impress as he has for the overwhelming majority of June. What was a slash of .182/.308/.318 coming into the month now sits at .250/.353/.480, and the blast was his sixth homer of the season. Soderstrom was a first-round pick for a reason, and he deserves some attention from those who need help at the corner-infield spot. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:43 pm

  • Inching toward rehab assignment
Garcia (elbow) threw a live bullpen session Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada said Saturday that Garcia will begin a minor-league rehab assignment if the right-hander responds well to Saturday's session. Garcia is in the latter stages of his recovery from Tommy John surgery in May of 2023. In his last full season in 2022 with the Astros, Garcia went 15-8 over 28 starts with a 3.72 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 157:47 K:BB across 157.1 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 12:15 pm

  • Gregory Santos (lat) faces hitters on Saturday
Gregory Santos (lat) faced hitters on Saturday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: Santos continues to progress towards making his Seattle debut after a spring training lat issue put him on the shelf to open the year. There’s a chance he’s ready to bolster the Mariners’ high-leverage relief mix at some point in a couple weeks, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:12 pm
  • Josh Jung (wrist) to take batting practice Tuesday
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Josh Jung (wrist) will take batting practice on Tuesday to determine whether he’s ready to return.

Advice: Jung has been dealing with some minor soreness in his surgically-repaired wrist, which isn’t uncommon at this stage of his rehabilitation process. He’ll take batting practice early next week to determine whether he’s ready to return or needs some additional time in the minor leagues. Rotoworld Saturday, 11:37 am
