    • Begins rehab assignment
Bogaerts (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a walk in his first rehab game with Triple-A El Paso on Thursday.

Advice: Bogaerts is expected to require 7-to-10 days on his rehab assignment, so he could be back just before the All-Star break if all goes well. The veteran infielder has been sidelined since late May with a fractured left shoulder. Rotowire.com Today, 6:14 am

    • Homers in win
Pederson went 1-for-2 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 12-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Pederson got the rout started early against his former team with a first-inning solo homer. It was his second home run in the last three games and 12th of the season. Pederson maintains career highs in average (.284) and OPS (.896), mostly against right-handed pitching. Just 18 of his 250 plate appearances have come against left-handers. • Xander Bogaerts reaches twice in rehab contest
Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a walk on Thursday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A El Paso.

Advice: Bogaerts, who was at designated hitter on Thursday in his rehab assignment debut, is working his way back from a fractured left shoulder that sent him to the injured list back on May 20. The 31-year-old figures to return as San Diego’s primary option at the keystone, but could wind up bouncing around between several positions moving forward. He’s going to require additional rehab contests to get back up to speed before returning to San Diego’s lineup. Rotoworld Today, 3:23 am

Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases. • Goes yard in win

Advice: Chapman is 14-for-38 (.368) with four homers and 12 RBI over his last 10 contests. The third baseman put the Giants ahead with his fourth-inning solo shot and then added the RBI double for an insurance run in the sixth. • Roughed up in loss
Sanchez (6-4) suffered the loss Thursday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings against the Cubs. He struck out three.

Advice: Sanchez' outing began in a familiar manner, allowing no runs through the first three innings while being staked with an early 2-0 lead. But Sanchez, who has done a great job this year at avoiding the big inning, couldn't escape that trap Thursday, allowing six batters to reach base during a five-run fourth, then saw his day end prematurely after the first two batters reached base in the fifth. All told, Sanchez, who was coming off a complete game shutout and had allowed just one earned run over 23 innings during his previous three starts, allowed a season-high seven runs, lifting his season ERA more than half a run from 2.41 to 2.96. He'll look to rebound next week when the Phillies host a showdown series against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:49 pm
    • Wyatt Langford puts on a show in losing effort
Wyatt Langford delivered an RBI single on Thursday in the Rangers’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Langford made a pair of unbelievable highlight-reel worthy defensive plays and was responsible for plating the Rangers’ lone run of the contest with a run-scoring single off Padres starter Michael King in the sixth inning. The 22-year-old top prospect has been excellent over the last few weeks, batting .303 (33-for-109) with three homers and six steals over his last 30 games. He’s yet another textbook example of why fantasy managers should exercise patience with talented top prospects, even if they struggle initially upon reaching the majors. • Cristopher Sánchez has rare off day versus Cubs
Cristopher Sánchez surrendered seven runs in four-plus innings versus the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: After three scoreless innings, Sánchez gave up a walk, a 109-mph single and a 112-mph homer to Ian Happ to start the fourth. That wasn’t the end of the damage, though. The Cubs rallied for two more runs in that frame after another walk, and then had two more soft hits to begin the fifth, resulting in his Sánchez’s removal. Both runners later came around to score off Seranthony Domínguez. Sánchez was working on a 19-inning scoreless streak until the fourth today. He gave up as many earned runs today as in his previous seven starts combined, and his ERA jumped from 2.41 to 2.96. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:58 pm
